RedSteve Wrote:well, i expect he would put the best spin on the game that he could, but to make it sound like Marshall was three broken plays away from beating Miami does nothing more than indicate that either a) he didn't actually watch the game or B) did so after (inadvertantly, of course!) doubling or tripling up his post-surgery pain meds...Marshall was out of the game in the first quarter because of some big plays. That must be what he meant. I'm sure it wasn't Marshall's game plan to have to try to come from way behind with an injured backup QB and an injured Darius Watts in that kind of wind to win the game. Giving up the early scores, especially the interception for a TD, put the Herd in an impossible situation.

R-berger had 'em by the balls, and Miami tried to run out the clock? I swear Lee Owens coached the 4th quarter of that game!
Marshall had decent field position, plenty of time on the clock, and could have scored with a few passing plays - but they just ran the clock down. To me, that's when they seemed to give up.
