MAC teams have a good chance to go 4-0 tonight, but I'm afraid it will wind up 2--2 and hopefully not worse. The games....

Buffalo 55% at home over Niagara
Michigan 52% at home over Bowling Green
Wright St 65% at home over Toledo
Akron 60% at home over Iona

Rochester College? That's about 2 miles from where I live.

They play basketball? 03-wink
Is that the University of Rochester? UR is Division III.

Weird.
Dave:

Doesn't Hart become eligible starting with the next EMU game? Any insights as to whether he will help or hinder the Eagles? This may seem like a dumb question, but sometimes mid-year transfers take a while to "meld" with a team.

No, it's Rochester College (formerly called Michigan Christian College), which is in the northern fringes of the Detroit 'burbs.

There is a lot of excitement regarding Hart. He is eligible for EMU's next game on December 21 against Gardner Webb. Word is initially that he will come off the bench but if things go as planned he could be starting by early MAC season time.

For those that are unfamiliar, Hart has the ability to be THE standout player in the MAC. He is a major college b'ball player in every regard. He was runnerup for Michigan Mr. Basketball and was ranked in the Top 40 nationally. He is a 6-6 Guard/Forward. He was recruited by Ohio State but became homesick and transferred to EMU.

Also, last year's EMU's recruiting class was rated tops in the MAC by MichiganPreps.com

So, we are really looking forward to making progress this season. So far, the team is 4-1, but to be honest two of those victories mean nothing as they were against an NAIA Division 2 team (Concordia) and an NCAA Division 3 squad (Rochester College).

But the game against Gardner Webb may be a better indicator (GW finished last season 19-9) and then on December 23 against Michigan...how sweet a victory that would be!!
Rockets explode for 98 points at Wright State to win their 3rd game in a row and the MAC goes 3 - 1 tonight.
