Now that the season has finished, how would you rank the conferences?

*** Terry: For reference, here is how I ranked the leagues entering 2002.

1. Big 12
2. SEC
3. Pac-10
4. Big Ten
5. ACC
6. Big East
7. C-USA
8. Mountain West
9. MAC
10. WAC
11. Sun Belt

With 2002 in my rear-view mirror, here is how I think the leagues stacked up.

1. Big Ten

Funny how we continue to beat up on C-USA but the media thinks they are so much better.

As far as I'm concerned, a good computer system measures best. Jeff Sagarin said our league is better than the WAC. I believe that.

I think Boise State's success is what led him to bump the WAC ahead of the MAC. Since there are so few matchups between the leagues, it's a little tough to argue. I do think the MAC is just as good, maybe better.
