And this from CBS.Sportsline.com in the "Winners" of the week:
Quote:Antonio Gates
There may not be five players in the country having better seasons than the Kent do-it-all senior stud. Gates had 28 points Saturday and despite being a burly post guy, drained a critical 3-pointer to stake the Golden Flashes to an important 78-71 victory over Western Michigan. After losing four seniors from last season's Elite Eight team, no one figured Kent would be an impressive 15-2, 8-1 in the MAC right now. But the 6-4 senior is absolutely willing this team to victory after victory this season.
Get the All-America campaign cranking -- Antonio Gates is proving he is among the nation's best players each and every game.

Absoulutley. That has been my beef with the school for a couple of years. KSU basketball should be the talk of the area now. The Indians are going to suck, football is over, the CAVS are, well,,, and LeBron is gone. They should make a marketing push to get people who have no connection with the U to become wxcited about the team. I know for a fact the the old marketing guy, Steve Sefner, was a moron. Who took his place???? get some Business school sophamores to take a crack at it; and put the damn team on TV once in a while.
