I didn't attend the game, but from what I've been told, it would never have gotten to the point that it did had the officials been even slightly competent. The BG player that threw the initial punch and the UT player that retaliated with a couple of his own were already frustrated as hell due to the inconsistant officiating long before the incident. This policy is a start for the players. But, what is the conference going to do about their horrible officials?
Good question! 03-confused I agree that refs swallowing their whistles plays a part in this sort of thing. Hopefully, there won't be a backlash in the form of physical play being discouraged. At least these guidelines might help playes to keep their cool. Knowing you'll miss a minimum of two games is a pretty good deterrent, IMHO. :pooh:
Toledo? Punches? Now there is something new.
Anyone notice a trend?
Of terd posters trying to flame at every opportunity? We've known that for a while now. It's nice to see that you are staring to realize it now.

I'm not impressed. If Chryst and the MAc had any guts BG's Kevin Netter would have been suspended as well as UT's Kirsh. And I'm not saying that as a Rocket fan but as a MAC fan - when does the MAC conference office ever take a stand?
A TREND,
I would say that is what we are seeing here. As usuall, goofball blames others for his teams problems.

In a three month period we have three football players thrown out of games for fighting, a football player arrested and then throws urine on someone and know a fight on the basketball court.

I hope Chryst takes a look at this out of control program and levels some serious penalties before Toledo makes the conference look even worse.

Toledo, the bad boys of the MAC.

Gee, a bunch of ignorant hicks looking at the incidents of another school to try and shift the focus from their out of control, renegade program. Who would have thought that a serious discussion about the root causes of the incident would be hijacked in such a manner?
A serious discussion about your teams lack of control. I would love to see your face everytime another of these incidents occur. O yee of such morality.

I would not bring these up goffball if you did'nt take such pleasure in MU 's past problems.

I would say the only difference between Toledo and Marshall, besides the stadiums, is that we win championships and you guys win fights :D

Please save the preaching, your turning into a real Jessie Jackson. Don't do what I do, just what I say. Toledo is really turning into a problem for the
MAC.

I would respectfully request that you provide a list of the "three football players thrown out of games for fighting". I can't seem to recall that happening, but maybe I'm getting old.

More likely, you're flaming, as usual.
Okay, personal fouls are what they are offically called.

The list, *******?

You can lie all you want...this is hard to top. And everyone knows it.
Urine wanted it, urine going to get it

MAC Championship Game -----------------Lantz Jeudy thrown out for fighting
Motor City Bowl --------------------------Nick Kaczur, thrown out for fighting
Motot City Bowl---------------------------Brock Dodrill thrown out for late hit out of bounds.

3 players thrown out of the last two football games, on top of everything else, I would say Toledo continues to give the MAC a Black Eye :D
I'm sorry, when did it become football season again?

Guest

It's always football season...just like Herdon is always an idiot. Institutionalized cheating does not get wiped away by a few fouls.

So, from your list, I can see that 3 players were NOT thrown out of games for fighting, as you posted earlier. From that, I can assume you were either a) mistaken in your original post and didn't really know; B) exaggerating in your original post in an attempt to either make Toledo look worse than the facts would appear or to make yourself appear more authoritative; c) you flat-out lied with complete disregard for the facts for both the reasons listed under b. I choose C.

You're a liar and flamer. 05-nono

IF Netter threw the first punch (this is debatable; I understand some Toledo television stations seem to think he did, but the video isn't great), the refs never saw it.

The policy is to suspend people ejected for fighting. Since Netter wasn't ejected, he won't be suspended.
I think it all started with that renegade Track program of theirs.
Karl Wrote:B) exaggerating in your original post in an attempt to either make Toledo look worse than the facts would appear or to make yourself appear more authoritative;
Karl,

Like it or not there appears to be a trend here.

1. Toledo Football player ran the bleachers for punching out a Dorm Window.
2. Toledo Football player ejected from the MACC game for fighting.
3. Toledo Football player ejected from the Motor City Bowl for fighting.
4. Toledo Football player arrested for Public intoxication and Hitting a female.
5. Toledo BBall player suspended for hitting a BG player.

You can call Herdon a liar and flamer all you want. I personally think he is an equalizer to a certain liar and flamer from your school.
