After reading the below post on the Syracuse Rivals board.....Anyone up for an Orangeman beating on 9/27/03 when Toledo plays at Syracuse?

After reading that tripe on the Syracuse board, it is your DUTY to lay the smackdown on those pompous pukes! :saber:
Why does it seem like UCF fans are always so delusional about USF? Check out the posts on that board. Face it, USF was a MUCH better team last year. They had top 25 speed on defense. They dominated BG and NIU. Quit fooling yourselves. I don't like BG or Marshall, but I will admit when they have good teams.
trerocket - don't forget that USF beat NIU right after they lost Hammock and they were emotionally down. If they would have played later in the season it could have been a different story.

As for BG, they just lost to NIU the week before and were pretty much out of the West Division race with that loss. Add on that the game was in South Florida too.

UCF and USF were probably pretty even last year to be honest.
I disagree. As I've said, South Florida would have been a strong contender to win the MAC or Conference USA given the chance.

SU fans are smoking crack if they laugh at the prospect of playing the Bulls. They were damned lucky to beat Central Florida, which basically gave the game away.
I agree that South Florida could beat Syracuse, but I just feel that UCF could beat South Florida. Don't forget, UCF/USF would be a rivalry game like UT/BG.
Last year, I bet that would have been a hell of a game. I don't consider NIU's trip to USF as indicative of what kind of team we ended up with - our front-of-the-press-guide player was found to have a life threatening heart condition two days before the game, and we still had a rookie QB starting his second game. We became a MUCH better offensive team by the Ball State and Miami games than we were then. Heck, we snuck by Kent 13-6 in the first MAC game, so we obviously took a few games to hit our stride.

USF was a very good team, but UCF was probably just as good. Like I said - would have been a hell of a game. I don't see either as obviously better than the other.

I've been up for that ever since the Orangemen came to the Glass Bowl a few years ago. We didn't have the speed to hang with them. We're still shy on the DLine, but team speed has improved tremendously. I'm looking forward to that game in the Carrier Dome. :saber:

Yeah, um, take these clods behind the wood shed and drill 'em! 04-cheers
BG is all-time 2-0 against Syr in football, and I believe has a recent victory over them in men's bball.

Who would win, UCF or USF? We'll never know unless they play each other. So, eh, I guess we'll never know, not while the Bulls act like Steers, neutered male bovines.
