Bobcats begin their 11th overtime period of the MAC season, fifth versus Akron.
So, are we to conclude that these teams really like each other...?

Gayboy Hipsher hits go ahead with 3.7 to go...
Bobcats miss runner at buzzer.

Hipsher still gay.
Quote:Hipsher still gay.

We didn't ask, so please don't tell! 05-nono
Seriously, though, Hipsher = School on Saturday.

Immediately after the win, what does he do? Celebrate with his teammates? Hug his boyfriend? Sit down and relax?

No, he goes to taunt the visiting fans.

No class, just like his idiotic Dad, and, according to witnesses who've had the joy of being near Mrs. Hipsher during a game, his mother too.

Were you at the game? Clearly not, if you were posting here while listening on the radio. Hipsher hit the game winner and was surrounded by his teammates. OU called timeout immediately afterwards .. no time to celebrate, and after the game I didn't see anything out of the ordinary team handshakes, etc.

I understand that bobcats don't have a lot of affection for the Hipsher clan, and that's your right .. but making up situations that didn't occur just to throw gas on the fire? Hate him because he just dropped another game winner on you late in a game .. but please don't manufacture new confrontations that didn't occur at games that you didn't attend.

Shaping up to be an interesting tournament.
It definitely occurred, according to eyewitness accounts, but also according to our radio team. Maybe I have the order wrong; maybe he hugged his boyfriend first. :D

Yes, it should be a very interesting tournament, and with the wars Ohio and Akron have played in the last couple seasons, this is turning into a pretty good rivalry. Perhaps we'll meet again.

That's what happens when you have a Marshall grad as part of your radio team. That guy is a real piece of work.
What makes for more interesting radio...Hipsher sinks the buzzer beater...gets mobbed by his teammates after OU calls a time out?

Or, Hipsher hits the shot at the buzzer...searches the crowd for athe few OU fans in attendance...grabs his crotch and hurls obsceneties...needs to be restrained by police.

I was there...there was no taunting. The players shook hands after the last shot skipped off the rim, and everyone went home. Zips won a hard-fought game. OU played admirably considering they were on the road, missing Johnson and playing immediately after a double OT the previous day.

I guess the OU announcer felt the need to make the situation more compelling than it was? Good for him...I'm sure the OU fans stupid enough to fall for it will really "give it" to Hipsher next season in Athens. Obviously it really bothers Andy...he's personally beat OU at the buzzer 2 of the 6 times they've played.
Speaking of things that didn't happen, when exactly was Hipsher's previous buzzer beater?

As I recall, Akron won last year on two FTs from Darryl Peterson.
His Freshman year...3-pointer at the buzzer...in Athens....Ball and Bosley's senior year...can't blame you if you have a selective memory. :D
Not selective, just fading. 03-lol

What year is he currently? Are you sure you're not thinking of an elder Hipsher daughter? Ohio swept UA in 00-01. I think UA got the sweep the year before.

Anyway, there's no way our radio team would just make up something like that. They may be a little dramatic if a call goes against us, but I don't buy that for a second. Nothing was said about a crotch-grab, just that he was taunting. Also, although I wasn't there, I've been to the JAR for a few games and know that Ohio has a good following in NE Ohio, and the fans are easy to find. Seems like we always have at least a section or two (maybe not on a Weds. night, though).

The incident from the previous year is also true. I'd say it was embellished a bit when a crotch-grab turned into a middle finger in the newspapers version that preceded this year's contest.

He's a good player with a knack for a clutch shot, he should let that do the talking.

Andy's frosh year was '99-'00. Sat out '00-'01 (medical redshirt). So this is his junior year eligibility wise.

Nothing went down on Sunday. Get over it. Your radio crew is selling you a bill of bad goods. Heck the Zips radio guy is a bobcat himself, and he noticed nothing. None of us that were there noticed anything. You know why? Nothing happened. Andy was understandably happy he hit that one, since he'd missed a similar opportunity against Miami on Thursday.

This shouldn't have to diminish a nice effort by both teams. I'd never turn down a chance to see another OU - Zip game .. always good contests. But then again, Zip-BG games are usually epic, and Zip-Miami games have been good of late.

Zips take a key game tonight in the search for a home game.
Oddball takes a shot at Marshall in a thread that has nothing to do with Marshall. Really Oddball, I think your obsession with Marshall is bordering the unhealthy stage.

Oh, I'm sorry...did you find something factually amiss with my post? If not, then, taken in its entirety, the post was relevant.
