Is anyone on this board coming to Cleveland tonight/tomorrow? If so, I will be at all of the sessions, on the ground floor, under one of the baskets. I will be wearing a white sleeveless Nike golf sweater with the VanDelay logo on it. Stop by and say hello. Have a save trip for those traveling.

The Rock said that "Cleveland sucks" on RAW the other night. Count me out.
I'll be there. I'll look for you.
I will be there Saturday after we beat WMU and CMU/BGSU. :D

p.s. Have I said GO BGSU yet?
Big Dog will be there! I'd like to meet the mysterious "Van Delay". Hopefully I'll remeber to stop by. I'll be wearing red!

You gonna wear that sweater for all sessions the whole weekend?

What if you were to spill a little mustard or somethin' on it? I guess if you had a laptop you could update the stains on your sweater for easier recognition by MAC fans.
I'll be there all 3 days again. Nick, I am in Sec 108 so I'll look for ya!

I am leaving the office in 2 hours here in Independence. Those of you traveling, TAKE IT SLOW AND EASY...the weather here in Ctown is getting NASTY!

GO FALCONS!!!!!!!! 04-cheers
Did they have good crowds for the games at the Gund today? I was at the B10 quarters today (entertaining clients here in Chicago who were Iowa grads) at the United Center, and the first session probably had about 4,000 I 'd say.......I think it was one price for all 3 games today so there may have been more folks coming for the later sessions (I only stayed for the Iowa-OSU game).
4,319 for the OU-MUr game. Look for 10K tomorrow night for the OU-Kent semi.

I assume that's the figure for both early games. But yeah, attendance should go up, both tonight and tommorrow night.

Your right, still nothing to be ashamed of for an afternoon weekday session.

Quote:The afternoon session set a tournament attendance record of 4,319 - due in great measure to Ohio teams Kent, Miami and OU.

They will easily draw 10,000 tonight with Kent State and OU still in it.
From the tourney games I've watched on TV, I'd say that a crowd of 4K for a quarterfinal would've been one of the top crowds around. The MAC is looking at a great crowd in the semi's when you have OU and Kent State both in.........if KSU wins and makes it to the finals, that should insure a 10K plus crowd again for the finals. With CMU's big year, not sure if they brought many fans, but typically it's too far (to Cleveland) for the Chipsters to make much of a showing from a crowd perspective. Having Miami out doesn't hurt attendance much for the semi's since OU has since a good following, and of course the Herd don't tend to send many fans to the hoops tourney. NIU or WMU (in terms of fans in Cleveland) is probably a toss-up, so all things considered the folks at the Gund have to be pretty happy with the MAC match-ups in terms of drawing local fans.

BTW, did anyone see the end of the Colorado-KSU game last night? A KSU player intercepted an inbounds pass with 2 seconds left (and KSU leading by 2), but the idiot raised his hands in triumph and immediately traveled (in fact, he caught the ball and ran with it). He obviously forgot that the clock didn't start until he caught the floor length type pass. They put 1.6 seconds on the clock, and a Colorado guy "banked" in (he didn't call it) for a trey as the clock ran out. Man, I'd hate to be that KSU guy........I'm not sure I've ever seen a more bone-headed play, even from a HS player.
