Chris Tuminello was one of 29 male athletes to receive an NCAA post-graduate scholarship. Chris is the second Toledo athlete to win this in the past two years. Way to go Chris!
So, who are the other 28?
Before you take that the wrong way...just wondering if any other MACsters made the list.
No other athletes from the MAC were selected. That is why they are not mentioned here. I would like to see more MAC athletes honored in this manner, but the requirements seem to favor BCS schools. I am sure many MAC athletes qualify for the academic part of the award, but that is only hal of the award.
That's a nice accomplishment!!
That IS a nice accomplishment! I went to law school with a guy who won one of those (Laing Weisman, Univ. of Tennesee; better known as Alan Houston's backcourt-mate), and it made a significant dent in paying those tuition bills.

Do you know what the kid plans to study?
Demetric Shaw won one of those last year. So did one of our woman b-ball players, I think.
It's quite an honor and for most people entering grad school a financial boost at the right time.
Hey ChicagoRocket:

I get the first two helmets, obviously, but what is the third?

I thought that may be what it was, but you're right about the color. Comes off dirty brown.
