Ok, we've all played this game too, but seriously, Army, Navy, USF and L'ville all ahead of Marshall, Toledo, Miami (OH) and BG?

What are your thoughts on reports that the ACC is trying to lure Miami, Boston College, Virginia Tech and Syracuse from the Big East to expand to 12 teams and have a championship game?

*** Vin: If the ACC adds four teams, that would give it 13. Who would leave? Regardless, I like the idea of an expanded ACC. In fact, I wish each of the six BCS leagues had 12 teams and a title game. It would make for a more level playing field, as teams in the SEC and Big 12 have to worry about clearing the hurdle of a league title game before possibly playing for a national title.

But why stop with just expanding the ACC? In a dream world, here is how I would like to see the big six leagues stack up, giving us a super division of 72 teams. For a playoff, take the six winners of the league title games and two wild card teams for an Elite Eight postseason. Ah, it's fun to dream.

Note: New additions are in CAPS at the end.

ACC: Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Maryland, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Virginia, NC State, VIRGINIA TECH, WEST VIRGINIA, PITTSBURGH

Big East: Miami, Boston College, Temple, Rutgers, Syracuse, PENN STATE, NOTRE DAME, EAST CAROLINA, SOUTH FLORIDA, CENTRAL FLORIDA, ARMY, NAVY

Big Ten: Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern, Indiana, MISSOURI, IOWA STATE

Big 12: Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas State, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Baylor, ARKANSAS, COLORADO STATE

Pac-10: Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA, USC, Cal, Stanford, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, UTAH, BYU

SEC: Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, LOUISVILLE

Of course, these developments would leave a league such as C-USA mad. And schools such as Southern Miss, TCU, Cincinnati, Tulane, UNLV, Air Force, New Mexico, Hawaii and Fresno State, among others, would be peeved. But the Mountain West/WAC/C-USA could take new shapes or morph into two conferences.

Back to BCS reality.
The only way to gain respect if for the MAC to have an awesome year in the non conf parts of the schedule. We failed last yr to notch any "Huge" wins but have numerous chances this yr. We must come thru with some huge wins...2003 must be a break thru year and we have plenty of solid teams that can pull big wins. GO BG!!! GO MAC!!!! 04-drinky [COLOR=orange]
