Despite the fact that EMU won the #1 doubles match 8-2 over the top 30-ranked pair of Johnson and Sukner AND defeated Johnson & Sukner at #1 and #2 singles, the Herd players won the other 2 doubles matches for the doubles point and won 3 singles to take the title on EMU's court.
