I've got a better idea for anyone who wants to prove how "patriotic" they are. Go down to your local armed forces recruiting office and sign up. Active, reserve, National Guard. Doesn't matter.

You won't find any show of "patriotism" on my car, on my house, or any red, white and blue clothing. However, for the past 18 years, I have proudly worn the uniform. I get really pissed at folks who shout their "patriotism" from the mountaintop but are too cowardly to lay it on the line.

Note. This is not intended as a dig at you Stick. It is intended as a dig at all persons who scream for military action but don't have the guts to back it up with their own sacrifice.

I intend to do my best to honor those who have made that sacrifice this Memorial Day weekend.

I won't be "shouting my patiotism." I'll be shouting theirs! And I'll be shouting it loudly!

I have even bigger problem with people who wave the flag, sport the colors, etc. calling themselve patriotic, but are too lazy or stupid to do their duty by VOTING. It is a right and a responsibility...VOTE! People are killed regularly around the world for the right to vote and murdered on the way to or at the polls. In this country it is taken for granted and then people want to ***** about the state of affairs. Brave men and women, both military and civilian, American and foreign, have died for what they are to lazy to do.
