Nothing would make me happier than to see UCF comfortably taking up residence on the visitor's side of the Glass Bowl in December. :D

Why are you choke artists looking to miss out on that game too? 03-razz

Why, are you still stinging from the arse whoopin' that Miami laid on the Rockettes last year? :D

Were you even at the game professor? The refs handed the game to the redskins. There was no "arse whoopin". Sounds like you still might be sore from watching the Huntington henchman play in the MACC every year since they've been here.

He knows that...it just makes it that much more enjoyable for him to rub it in. Just offer him a fruit-flavored beer and he'll calm down some. :D
They need to win the East this year. Miami may have the best QB and player, but they can't match the size, speed and depth of our overall team. I would like to see both Rhule and Poe in the starting lineup though -- maybe move Rhule to SAM. The D should return to top 20 or 15 form this year. Coach K needs to get it done.

They didn't do all their homework though. TE Michael Gaines is our best pro prospect and there is no way he'll be backing up Darcy Johnson (who will also play some wideout). He's listed as a top 15 senior by Kiper and a top 20 senior by All-Pro Scouting Services (#2 TE). And I see both RFr OL backing up the sophomores.

Finally, I noticed that two recruiting classes clearly dominate our depth chart: 2001 and 2002. Very interesting.

We got the cold weather MAC game out of the way when we played in Oxford. 03-wink I'm glad it's December 4th and not December 24th though.

You only think that was a cold weather game. :D

Everything else is just more blah blah blah.

Yeah, they thought 40degrees in mid-October in DeKalb was a cold game, too. 03-lol

You couldn't beat us at home last year when we had a terrible secondary. What makes you think you can beat us at the Glass Bowl this year with a much improved secondary?
These things are always so rosy. According to CFN Toledo, Marshall, Miami, NIU, and UCF are all going to win the MAC. They don't really commit to anything.
All of you can just keep dreaming. Dreams are a good thing.
Like Broncos fans dreaming about a real offensive line...? <DUCKING

CMichFan, I just have a few questions to ask you.

1. Who one the last game between the Broncos and Chippewas? What was the score?

2. What happened to the MAC single game rushing record holder in that game against the Broncos?

3. When was the last time the Chippewas finished ahead of the Broncos in the football standings?

4. How many home games do the Chippewas have this season? How many are against D-IAA teams?

5. How many MAC West Championships have the Chippewas won since the MAC went to the current format in 1997?

Before you start worrying about the Broncos and the offensive line situation I think you need to be more concerned about the direction DeBord has the team heading in. As for the Broncos offensive line, we will have an idea of how good or bad they are going to be come August 30th when they play Michigan State. Right now I see the offensive line as being a lot stronger and better than they were last season, but like I said, that is yet to be determined.
1) No argument. You caught our fast-tanking team at the right time. Without the same solid QB play we started the season with -- we started a redshirt freshamn in a desperation move to jump-start the offense --, CMU was unable to consistently move the ball and gave WMU excellent field position all game. However, I'm talking about THIS season.

2) Our tailback carried only three times before getting hurt, check the box score. In other words, it's irrelevant.

3) I'll give you that one, but both teams finished 4-8 last season.

4) Six and two. Now what does that have to do with the price of rice in China, exactly? 03-confused I won't defend scheduling two I-AA teams, but it's the first time I can remember this happening and the last time it's likely to happen. Our 2004 opponents include UConn (home), Kansas (away), and Indiana (away). We host IU in 2005. :D

5) The same number of MAC Championships your Broncos have won since long before our last one (1994). However, the recent past says WMU is coming off two straight losing seasons. I won't apologize, therefore, for questioning your OL, especially after your team led the MAC in sacks allowed by a fair margin. The same OL that returns almost no experience...

The rest: Hey, I said I was ducking!

As for MSU, I give WMU a fair chance to win, but that OL could be a major issue, especially being so new. Did you happen to see the Kentucky-Louisville game last fall? The Wildcats basically TKO'd Ragone, as a line featuring at least four new starters couldn't stop anone from waltzing through. I mean, the poor guy couldn't even stand by game's end. I don't know that MSU's defense will be of that caliber -- I have my doubts -- but Munson/Drach/Haas had better be wearing some good cleats. :fast:

Before you ask, I have hopes that CMU can pull enough surprises out of the bag against Michigan to make a real game of it past halftime, as Western did last season, but I don't expect a win. We'll be unveiling a new QB (probably) and some faster receivers, so we could have some success against a largely-revamped Wolverine secondary. Navarre is not mobile, so we must bring pressure. Our new DC (from Grand Valley)and secondary coaches may also have some new wrinkles. Bottom line, CMU's team will probably start 2-1 but not find out much about itself until the Ball State game.
