Quote:Sooner or later, a Marshall is going to play a Miami (of Florida ) in a postseason game. If there is ever going to be a playoff, and it's ever going to be legitimate, inclusion is going to have to happen. It could start with the addition of a permanent at-large spot for the non-equity leagues.

Quote: Non-BCS schools have to win their conference and finish in the top six of the BCS ratings. It hasn't happened yet.

And that's the illegal part of the BCS. Some math whiz once plugged the numbers into the BCS formula. It assumed that Marshall beat two BCS conference teams and it further assumed that those two teams finished in the top 10. Nevertheless, because of the conference schedule, Marshall ended up outside of the top 6. In other words, a non-BCS school CAN'T end up in the top 6 of the BCS no matter how they perfrom OOC.

Unfortunately, as I've said many times, the non-BCS conferences won't do anything because the AD's and presidents of those schools are too busy auditioning for jobs at the BCS schools.
