While I'm dissapointed not to see Toledo in the poll, I love it when any MAC team gets recognition. It legitimizes the league as a whole and adds weight to conference games that otherwise might get overlooked by the pollsters.
Considering whoo was in the Tiop 40 and not one MAC team - NUTS!!!
By the end of the season you will see at least two (Miami, Marshall, Toledo, and at possibly UCF) in the Top 25, another in the Top 30!

I think alot of MAC teams are on the national radar (at least peripherally). As unimportant as preseason rankings may be, it is a factor in how quickly a team can break into the AP or Coaches poll. It seems like once you get into the category of "others recieving votes" you can rapidly pick up votes and break in. Getting voters to initially consider a MAC team is the hard part.
