How in the heck does Ohio State have 8 home games - they start out with 5 HOME GAMES IN A ROW.

I feel if Akron put in brand spankin' new bleachers(with the oval logo on the seats)....get a digital bigscreen scoreboard.....and extend the length and height of the pressbox....that'd be one of the nicest stadiums in the MAC - not to mention that new artificial field turf is actually going to be put in this summer.
That'd do the "bowl" nicely.

when you're the "national champion", i guess the NCAA will suck your **** and let you do whatever you want!
They make a ton of money playing at home, they only have to play 3 (4?) away games in the B10/11, and they won't travel OOC cuz they don't have to. They can pay ANYBODY half a million to come there and STILL make out better than if they travelled.
I realize that...but the NCAA has to take into effect the 8 home games is unfair to other Big Ten teams.
But I guess it's money, money, money.
But those 8 home games aren't all against B10/11 teams. Half of them are OOC, half B10/11...that's 8, with 4 more on the road. I'd like to see them travel too, but they just don't have to, so they don't. Ba$tards!

I say take it if you can get it. I'm thrilled about NIU having 7 home games - in '83 when we won the MAC we only had 4 home games!

Last year they had 8 home games as well!!! It's ridiculous. their only OOC road game was in Cincy at PB Stadium so the rats could follow the piper and have room to sit and watch them almost lose to the Bearcats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't an undefeated season a bit tainted when you NEVER go on the road?
God I hope they fall on their faces this year.
Not to defend Ohio State, but didn't they win @ Michigan and then beat Miami Fla on a neutral field?
They earned the national championship with those two wins.
