Apparently Vandy could beat the entire MAC according to him... hmmmmmmmm
I hope Marshall kicks the Sh!t out of Tennessee! (I can't believe I just said that)

I would say Vandy beating the whole MAC is more realistic than Marshall beating Tennessee.
KC
Is this the same Vandy squad whose last encounter with a MAC team resulted in a loss at home versus a 6-5 Miami(OH) team? A mediocre Redhawk team that finished midpack in the MAC that season...a team that lost to Ball State that season for goodness sake
.
Perhaps Vandy has seen much improvement since that letdown in 2000...oh, wait a minute that Commodores team at 3-8 was their best team over the past three seasons! Eh gads. Maybe they should start smacking some I-AA teams around, after all they did dominate Richmond a couple years back with an impressive 3 point victory at home over the Spiders.
Is he talking about the same Vandy that has a losing record against MAC teams over the past five seasons? Or some bizarro Vandy that actually fields a BCS-caliber football team?
NIU lost at home to Vandy in '97, in the midst of an 0-11 season, 17-7. Vandy muffed a punt that we returned for a TD, but the refs (correctly
) ruled it a muff with no advancement possible. Later in the game, our QB dropped the ball and their DLineman picked it up and ran it in for a TD. Had 'em on the ropes, and we were
horrendous.
In '99, we played them in Nashville and had a 24-3 lead, but they mounted a big comeback and won. We finished 5-6 that year, and still weren't a very good team.
If anyone is saying that Vandy would
definitely beat the top MAC teams, they are smoking far too much crack. :blueeek:
Could they beat the top MAC teams - duh! Would they regularly - 'fraid not. :chair:
Actually, unless I missed something in link below, Vandy has never beaten a MAC team that finished the season with a winning record.

This is also the same Vandy team that lost to MTSU last year....and MTSU didn't even win the SBC.

He doesn't even stick to an argument...becuz RocketFootball proves him wrong every time so SL will jump to another one.
You can't teach an old Dawg new tricks, and some are so bereft of brains that you're lucky if you can teach 'em not to piddle on the rug.
He admitted that Georgia wouldn't play at Toledo because it is a lose-lose situation. They can't take the chance of losing so they would rather host D I-AA Arkansas State.
I think SouthLink stated in a post in the sports bar that he is either 20 or 21. Maybe his youth explains his position. Obviously, you can't teach a young dawg knew tricks either.
Or more appropriately, you can't teach a cocky shorttimer about reality.
Georgia plays Marshall next season.
