Nice write-up about Pennington.

Very nice indeed. And once again, demonstrates that an athlete can be both talented and articulate. His star is still rising.
Pennington is clearly the best thing to ever come out of Marshall. 04-bow
It's kind of ironic with all of the assaults on Marshall's 'character' on this board, that it is in fact a Marshall grad who is admirably carrying the MAC's banner in the NFL relating to character.

Troy Brown?

Randy Moss?
Chad Pennington is the only MAC school grad in the NFL with any character?? Is there a study on this?
Never said Chad was the only MAC player w/ character, simply that he is carrying the MAC banner in the NFL related to character.
There are several others right there with him...
Byron Leftwich
James Williams
Steve Sciullo
Chris Crocker
Chris Massey
etc, etc, etc.

For a school full of thugs, Marshall has sure seen its' share of classy players go on and carry the MAC's banner in the NFL, both on and off the field. (Randy the notable exception) 04-rock
Marshall players that kick ******? Oh, you said class . . . sorry.

Hey UCF fans, what is that? Is it snow in a MAC Championship Game? Oh I can't wait to see UCF play at a West Division school in December, that is if they don't choke against the 2 MU's.
Reminds me of a game back in 1990 (imagine me scratching my chin as the picture fades in flashback fashion).

It was UCF's first season in Div 1-AA. UCF finished the regular season 8-3 and was the last team selected to participate in that year's Div 1-AA playoffs (college football playoffs, what a novel idea). The first week of the playoffs UCF had to go up to Youngstown, Ohio to play the first placed YSU (11-0) Penguins on November 24th. It was below freezing and snow covered the field (I don't know for sure - I was at UCF listening to the game on the radio, but it sounds good). Nobody thought UCF had a chance in the cold weather. Choking would insinuate FUC to be favored to win the games against Marshall and Miami. What have they accomplished in the history of their program to suggest they're the favorites to win the MAC east?

That was such a fun game to watch. Let it snow. :D

well sure, from YOUR side of the field it was fun to watch 03-banghead

You're right. Penn State, Syracuse, Toledo........UCF didn't choke away the game in any of those games last season. Until you prove otherwise, you will be labeled the choker!
