...the year you were born? It's not necessary to reveal the year, just the team's record.

Me: CMU went 5-5-1. It's safe to say I had no negative impact on the team.
1956 - Marshall was 3-6 and beat Western Michigan and Toledo in the MAC, but lost to Miami, Kent, Bowling Green and Ohio. My, my, have times changed in 46 years.
I saw a web site one time that had the game by game score for every year for every single NCAA team but I can't find it now. Anyone know where that might be?
I don't know about every year, but here's one I often use:

<a href='http://www.michigan-football.com/ncaa/ncaa_1a.htm' target='_blank'>Records since 1950.</a>
Here's some interesting info, the first MAC team we ever played was OU on Nov. 11 1905. The second MAC team we played was Miami the very next week.

MU vs OU in 1905 = 6-5 W
MU vs Miami 1905 = 0-35 L

<a href='http://cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/div_ia/mac/marshall/championships.php' target='_blank'>College Football Data Warehouse</a>
GT: 9-2-1

Notes:
W 20-17 over Georgia
W 17-14 over Michigan St. in the All-American Bowl
2-8 in the 2nd year after the crash

beat OU and Morehead

played Miami a lot better than 66-6......hmmm maybe trying to get revenge/sign of things to come

lost badly to BGSU and Dayton of all teams

thanks CMichfan for the link.......it was interesting finding that out

Toledo was 3-7 the year that I was born. Wins were over Temple, Kent and Marshall.
1967 0-10

Losses to Morehead State, Ohio, Toledo, Xavier, Miami, Louisville, Western Michigan, Bowling Green, Kent State, East Carolina.

Bowling Green went 2-6-1 in 1970. It was the worst season since 1954, and it came in Don Nehlen's third year.

Losses: Utah State, Western Michigan, Toledo, Miami, Ohio and West Texas A&M. The tie was with Dayton. The wins were over Marshall (26-24) and Kent State (44-0).

I've seen a yearbook photo of the Kent State game. Some BGSU students held a sign that said something to the effect of "National Guard 4, Kent State 0."

That was the Falcons worst season until I fioally arrived on campus in 1988. Moe Ankney went 2-8-1. It all started with a 62-14 humiliation at the hands of ... Don Nehlen and his Mountaineers.
EMU went 2-5 the year I was born with wins over Eastern Illinois and Alma and losses to Ball State, Kalamazoo College, Illinois State, Baldwin-Wallce and CMU. Looks like they were independent that year and the next after leaving the Interstate Intercollegiate Conference and then joining the President's Conference two years later.
1962. The Herd went 4-6 with wins over Findlay, Morehead, Xavier and Butler. The losses were to BUGS, Louisville, Toledump, Kent, WMU and Ohio. The Ohio loss was a bad one at 35-0.

P.S. Thanks for the links guys. 04-bow
That's easy...0-0. :D
The year I was born, Ron Finch was coach, and he went 6-2 (but, then again, they were still using browncows for downmarkers). :D
Neat thread.

1965- Buffalo went 5-3-2. Wins over UMass, Richmond, Delaware, Colgate, Villanova. Impressive that they had 4 shutouts and only gave up 78 points in 10 games.
They had losses to both Boston and Boston College!
UT was 3-5-1 with wins over Detroit Mercy (augh!), WMU, and Marshall, tied Eastern Kentucky
1968-The Huskies posted an impressive 2-8 record including losses to Northern Arizona, Xavier, North Dakota St, Buffalo, Ohio, San Diego St., New Mexico St. and Indiana St. 03-puke

We put a whuppin on our hated rivals from Ball State, and the Falcons of Bowling Green State (some things never change! :D )
4 up and 7 down.

Big wins against Morehead State, Dayton, Northern Illinois and Toledo.

I herd we also beat the girls volleyball team in a game of croquet, so technically, 5 wins. :D

Will you be needing a Lot 9 pass this season, old timer? Those stairs must be hell at your age!
1970 (Chinese year of the Road Warrior) the Herd was apparently rebuilding (for the 90s).

We were 3 and 6 with the wins coming over Morehead St, Xavier, and Can't State.
