Keep believin' all the hype...and we'll keep winning the West. You guys have no defense....we do. And our offense, like yours, will be explosive again.

BG will beat UT in the glASS bowl....peroid.

Hey I agree we have no defense but there is no way BG is going to outscore Toledo at the Glass Bowl.

Ahhh...there's the key. BG has a solid defense where UT has none. Both offenses can put plenty 'o points on the board. The difference is BG can stop teams from scoring...even your Brucie led rockettes.

We shall find out soon enough! 03-wink

GO FALCONS!!!

Sorry Freak, but BG's offense is playing for the Ravens not the Falcons. BG wont be putting plenty 'o points on anyone anymore.

Just keep right on thinking BG was a one man show last year...and to borrow the only worthwhile thing from the movie Under Siege 2, Dark Territory..."Complacency is the mother of all F-ups!!"

I just hope coach doughnut and the rest of the Rockettes think we were a one-man show last year as well.

And TJ...if we use your logic...or lack there of...the Rockettes should have a pretty awful season after Brucey leaves then huh? Are you willing to agree with that right now? I didn't think so!

I never said BG was going to be awful. You MORON, I said that BG wont be putting up plenty 'O points, like they did the past couple of years with J5 runnning the show.

If we don't put plenty of points on ANYONE this year...how could you translate that into being anything else but awful?

Are you seriously suggesting that just changing our QB is going to cause that drastic a change in points scored when the entire supporting cast (less the TE) is returning? Heck...even if we go from 34 a game to 25-30 that is still a lot of points to average per game.

You guys surely never gave Josh that much credit when he played last year...you probably still insist that we only beat you last year because we watered down our field.

TJ,
Seriously....think about all the firepower we have coming back. Omar Jacobs may not put up Harris type numbers this year...but we'll be able to run the ball on anyone at will, not named Oklahoma.
Our ground game was downright punishing and will be even better this yr. Omar couldn't have asked for a better way to take over the controls of this lethal offense. You'll see!

Time will tell, my friend, but I can't wait to see Omar leading our O. But you keep believing we won't score. As good as Harris is, this wasn't a one man team.

GO FALCONS!!!!

GO Tweetybirds!!!!
Yes it was... How many games was there that Josh lead the team in rushing? In the games that he did not lead in rushing, how were his passing stats? Did he have more than 30 attempts? Without Josh(an plain ol luck), BG would not have beat Toledo at the Dolt this past November. I know they lost against the Bucks, but Josh kept the Falcons in that game, he got dropped a couple of times and was on the run quite a bit, but despite it all he remained poised.

Well TJ...I hope you are an expert on the Rocket football team...cause you are clearly showing that you know absolutely nothing about Falcon football.

Josh was only our leading rusher in maybe 2-3 games last year...PJ ran for over 100 yards which is nearly 100 a game.

If we had any luck against Toledo last year we would have one by at least 7 more points by taking away your lucky onside kick and that lucky dying quail which Brucey heaved up.
Omar Jacobs will be a good QB and BG does have plenty of weapons on offense, namely Magner, who is a little f**cker yet a good player. All Im saying is that even if BG has a decent defense, Toledo has too many weapons for any MAC team to stop.
msopher Wrote:Omar Jacobs will be a good QB and BG does have plenty of weapons on offense, namely Magner, who is a little f**cker yet a good player. All Im saying is that even if BG has a decent defense, Toledo has too many weapons for any MAC team to stop.
Psssssst....BG has the better running backs and running game. We have a better talented core of wide receivers. Our O-line is more experienced. You have as beat at TE and and QB which is truly the only unknown at this point.

Therefore...if Omar plays up to potential, BG will without a doubt have the better offense.

And before you routinely write this off...do some research of depth at the positions I mentioned and you will clearly see BG's advantage...but again, the wild card is Jacobs...and I am betting he will be just fine by the time the MAC season swings into high gear.

Yeah, I agree! Magner is AWESOME! He doens't back down from anyone. 04-rock And I'd take Magner over any UT wr any day.

And BG's defense is gonna be much better than "Decent". We have 10 starters back. Heh heh heh!!!

Tj,

Harris didn't lead the team in rushing or receiving. J5 didn't do all the awesome blocking up front. He caught ONE pass all year....you may remember that one! 03-razz And who caught the pass to beat Purdue? Here's a hint...it's the same guy that torched UT for 3 td's last Nov.
Remember Charles Sharon? PJ Pope rushed for over 1000 yrds, BJ Lane for almost 500. HArris rushed for 800. With Raishaun Stover popping in 150+, looks like we have over 1600 yards returning. And Jacobs is faster than Harris with 4.59 speed.

BG's offense returns everyone but Harris and the TE, Craig Jarrett.
Harris was awesome for BG, no doubt. But to say this was a one man team is comical. Our system allows the QB to fully utilize the weapons...and Jacobs is more than capable of running the show. At 6'4", 220, and only a Soph, you'll see plenty 'O Omar in the next few years.

Luck? Is that the best you can do? Some of you rockette fatihful just can't bring yourselves to give BG any credit. "Oh it was luck....Oh Harris was your whole team...Oh you watered down the field" blah blah blah. I can see why you're nervous . BG is gonna win the West again this yr and there isn't a damn thing Jabba the Hut and the rockettes can do about it. Your lack of defense will be your downfall. Hey, Akron scores tons of point too...but they can't stop anyone. You must have defense as well. We do, you don't.

Well Tom, Of the games I saw last year Harris was the team. In the Toledo game Harris was the leading rusher, in the Northern Illinois game Harris was the leading rusher, in the Motor City bowl Harris was the leading rusher. Now chew on this little bit O information, Harris was also the leading rusher in both losses to Miami. So, one could argue that in the games that mattered most, or games that had the most on the line, Harris was the man the Falcons relied on. Hence all my "one man team" statements. Now whos showing they know very little about birdboy football? 03-nutkick

Pssst... BG has one back that put up decent numbers against Liberty and Central michigan and the like. Whoopdee freakin doo! I'll take a proven back like Trinity Dawson who tore up the BG defense as a redshirt freshman to the tune of a 100 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Never said Harris lead the team in rushing or recieving, check my reply to Tom.

You telling me that in the Toledo game when Harris's pass was deflected up in the air and it came down in Sharon's hands that maybe that was just a lil bit of luck??? You BG fans are not only delusional, you are also dishonest. So keep your heads in the sand if you like, pretend that Harris didn't save your teams skin on more than one occasion. 03-razz

No doubt...Sharon was in the right place at the right time. Harris was a great player for BG. He certainly wasn't the ONLY player on the team. When we needed him to produce, he usually did. Jacobs has the possibility of being just as good, if not better. Time will tell. But there is so much more to this offense than you're willing to admit.

GO FALCONS!!!
