In other news, DePaul's students are voted "happiest".

****** those rich-****** private school bastards!!!  Of course their happy, sponging off mommy and daddy to study "drama"(?!!) while shlubs like me have to work three jobs to pay tuition at a ****** state school. :cuss:

Not that I'm bitter about it or anything
Those rich kids have it made. I know a "rich kid" who went to BG. His mom was middle class from Findlay, but his dad was a big-time corporate lawyer in Chicago. He was a LD student (Learning Disabled). He was failing in Findlay, so his Dad brought him to a private High School in Chicago just to graduate him. He somehow got into BG. This was one of brother's skate board buddys.

He was an "architecture" major at BG. Never went to class for a whole semester, although he surely knew the BG party scene like the back of his hand. His mom must of used the child support to put up the financial aid for BG. Anyhow, he dropped out the first semister, but he cashed out the financial aid check which was paid through the year and used it as a down payment on a small Ford pickup truck. That pissed his parents off, and his mom flipped out when she caught hef son masterbating in the bathroom to a big pornographic shrine. After that embarasment, the guy couldn't face moving back home.

Now about 5 years have passed and he's gone from a drunk to sucidal to on the move like Saddam Hussain. The truck and townhouse/apartment were largely paid for by his parents, while he took off to raves on the weekends wheelin' and dealin' drugs. His parents cut him off--there went the truck and apartment. Now he just crashes at places for a couple of months on end while he saves up with a dinner job.

My brother can never figure out where he's at. More elusive than Bin Laden. A friend will tell him he's was around a couple of hours ago, but you've just missed him. His cell phone number is always changing. Once in a while you might get a transmission from him (phone call), but the corrdinates are sketchy.

BGSU---Producing The Leaders of Tomorrow
Nice use of inductive reasoning there, KC....and your point is? :snore:
Miami University is well represented on the lists.

#16 on the frat and sorority party scene
#16 for great food
#17 for Beautiful Campus.

And then they scored big.

Three top twenties for Demographics

"Monocrhomatic Institute"

#5 for "Alternative Lifestyles not an alternative
#11 for "Homogeneous Population"
#4 for "Little Race/Class Interaction"

Did someone say Snooty? 03-lol
Its a problem when minorities dont want to attend a white dominanted campus, but it isnt when whites dont want to attend a minority dominate campus.

If snooty = Miami

than Ignorance/Hypocriacy = Marshall

Seems to me the problems are folks from Chicago and Findlay. Two towns I've never liked.

I'm sorry, Fred, I just woke up next to an orange cone in the middle of Park Street. Now, what was your question again? :D

CE, you KNOW psilocybin and skitching don't mix...

FYI-I have a sneaking suspicion Chicago will get along just fine without your approval. 03-wink
Wow, talk about an ego...I didn't know Chicago was all about you FC!

Anyway, I never enjoyed living in the Chicago Suburbs...Barrington as a kid and Wheaton for college. Folks just weren't very aware...there is a world beyond Cook and DuPage counties (and I'm not just talking about Wisconsin!)

Chicago-City of the Big Egos. 03-wink

Actually, I agree with you. I, for one, avoid venturing out to the hinterlands of my boyhood home in Schaumburg for that very reason.

Then again, many of my colleagues here in the city have no idea the world continues west of Damen ave and south of the Eisenhower. What can you do?

While insular and somewhat small-minded, Wheaton and Barrington are, at least, very beautiful towns. One of the few reasons I'll venture out to the hinterlands is to visit Goeberts market in South Barrington and to have a fine meal at Kelseys roadhouse.

I ride my bike out to DeKalb a couple times a year for Huskie games and I always enjoy the stretch of the Prarie Path which goes through Wheaton.
