I thought you all might be interested in reading about UNLV's cornerbacks. The Las Vegas Sun did a pretty good write-up on them today. They are confident that they will prove the critics wrong who say the they are the weak link of the Rebels defense.

There is a lot of talent at the the position. That has never been the concern. The concern is having to play young, inexperienced CB's. How will they react vs. Toledo? The Rockets have always had some great WR's, so I hope they will be up to the task.

I've noticed that these aticles out of Navada seem to be pretty unbiased. I'm kinda impressed.
Ya, both Guiremand of the Sun and Mark Anderson of the RJ do a good job of keeping their articles unbiased. Sometimes, our fans accuse Anderson of being a little too unbiased(actually more biased towards the other team). You will see in a couple of days why they think this.

In the past, Anderson has come out with season predictions. If the last few years is any indication, he will predict the Rebels to do either really bad or "so-so". He wrote a big article last year predicting the Rebels to win like 4 games. He even said that we would get blown out for sure in a few games. He took a lot of heat from fans for predicting this, but guess what? He was right about the Rebels having bad seasons.

I just wish he would never come out with season predictions, regardless of if he picked us to win every game or to lose every game because I could really care less. I think it lessens him as a writer because he just looks like a "beat-writer" trying to become a columnist. By predicting losing seasons, it also sends a negative vibe out to the community, which doesn't help attendance, sales, etc. For these reasons, I hope he will stay away from predictions this year.

In fairness to Anderson, he has really seemed to pick it up this year with his coverage. Lately, we have been getting a couple of articles a day from the RJ, which hasn't been the case in the past.
The ones out of Pittsburgh seem to be the same way. Guess I lived in Columbus for to long. Got used to people believing Ohio State being the best team in the nation, whethere they are 6-0 or 0-6 xD
