Odball is out of his mind....if you didn't beat us that bad in Toledo, you're crazy if you think you'll come here and beat us by 21. Please, don't expect a win guys. This game has been circled on the calender by ALL the UNLV players.
Other than the garbage points that our third teamers allowed your first teamers to score last year, we DID beat you that badly last season.
You seriously overestimate the strength of your 72 linebackers.

Oddball and Chicagorocket, you willing to make a hat bet. Give my -14 (7 less than the -21 you're predicting). Loser gives the other a hat of the winner's team to th winner. At least a$20 in value hat. Lets see how confident you are, or if you're blowing smoke.
also, don't give me this 3rd string crap. You punted 7 times in that game, and it was your lowest yards game of the season. The only reason the score was what it was, were the gimmees handed to you in the redzone. Other than that, you DID nothing against UNLV. AND YES, those were gimmees, you can credit the defense for picking up the ball, but our QB just sucked and blew it. That won't happen this year.
Sorry, no budget for gambling at the moment...and I have more UT hats than I can wear now. Not sure what putting up a wager proves, we're merely trying to predict a score. The guys playing the game promise that they'll let us know how accurate we are this Friday.

You're full of s#!t...I was at the game. Toledo totally dominated your team and then allowed you to get some garbage points. And, yes, the garbage points were Rebel starters against the UT scrubs. Sometimes the truth hurts. Try and take it like a man, will ya? :crying:
you just need to accept the facts. You scored 5 times, 4 of the 5 times you were given the ball deep in our territory. You didn't pull starters (on offense) until the 4th quarter. YOur backups didn't do much of anything (by the way, your backups are your starters now)...also, we had backups in the 4th quarter, and our backups put up 14 pts on your backups. Don't give me 3rd and 4th string crap either, it was mostly 2nd teamers, and they looked terrible.
Fact is, we had a fumble for loss, a pick for a loss, and 12 penalties. You had 4 penalties, that's it.
This game is going to shock you, you'll be seriously questioning alot after this game.....I'll tell you this, we have experience that was held down by a bad QB. When they were given the ball, they could not be stopped, they just didn't get the ball. I can't wait to shut you guys up.
I don't disrespect your talent or coaching, but you think you're coming here with a new QB, new receivers, alot of questions on defense, and you'll be here not in Toledo, and you seriously think your going to mop us up. LOL!!!!!! Take last year's game for what it was worth, an anomoly. YOu won't beat this talented of a team like that many other times, and definitely not at their house.

Oddball's prediction might be a little high, and UNLVREBELS is giving his team too much credit....or he thinks Toledo is not any good.
This will be a close game. For Rebel fans to say that there is no way Toledo is going to come in Vegas and win is just showing their support for UNLV and is too biased. For UT fans to think we are going to have a cakewalk is too biased.
I will tell you that after Friday's game, one team will be feeling really good and their fans will be really happy. The other team probably won't feel too bad, but their fans will be bummed!

It just seems to me that the UNLV fans have two faulty premises and the Rocket genre is falling prey to those premises...
1. They claim that UNLV's game was a fluke... as if somehow, when they played their game last year... their was some kind of event that happened, which is unexplainable and that somehow every thing has changed... the planets are now lined up to the point where they have become a totally anc completly turned around football team... they are totally discounting on Toledo's performance as if they would have lost the game irregardless of whether they played Toledo or not... This is problem because, Toledo was the team that showed up... I am totally positive Stutz had planned for this game, knowing Robinsons style of play... It was not that we were a winless team last year and just had one good game... We were a solid team, in the rebuilding process and playing solid football
2. UNLV had a sup 500 season last year and won their last game... they now are basing their entire season this year and the win of a final game last year, which the previous game they had lost... Also, CSU lost to UNLV and their bowl game which makes me believe that the win was not al that great because they were playing against an over rated team...
i don't think the game will be as easy as last year.. but, i don't think UNLV has turned their season totally around especially since Robinson has been a disappointment...

UNLV guy... Please take a look at Michigan... They have one of the WORST QB's in college football today, Navarre.... he is horrible... but, they still win games... Yes, the QB may be bad... but, if he is not the one dropping the ball or if he is throwing interception after interception, then, the coach should be taking him out... then, you can't completely blame one guy for bringing down the entire teams efforts... that is why there has never been an "I" in Team...
