Probably -- and if not completely, than it is running both ways.

Bowling Green has been very upfront about giving absolute priority on Ohio State tickets to Falcon Club members, season ticket holders or students. (I suspect employees also got an edge).

I bought a two-seat season ticket package and two OSU tix. My friend, who will join me Sept. 20, did the same. I then went to a Falcon Club member in Rochester, N.Y. for two more.

I then went to an Ohio State season ticket holder for four more, and a friend of mine went to an OSU season-ticket holder he knows for two more. Finally, a friend went to OSU's ticket office for a few more tickets that were made available Tuesday. I expect another friend will do that as well. She had better hurry, too -- because those tickets may end up in the hands of BGSU.

I'm pretty sure 6,000 will understate the number of people Bowling Green is "bringing" to the game. Demand is a little lower for this game from the perspective of OSU fans. Sept. 20 is freshman move-in day at Ohio State, and obviously Buckeye fans have never taken Bowling Green very seriously.

My guess is Falcon fans are filling that void in demand rather nicely.

I wasn't giving BG much of a chance of winning this gam before, but I'm becoming more inclined to believe that a win is in the realm of possibility. I doubt that the Buckeyes will get caught sleeping, but you never know...

Good luck, birdbrains!

I've heard several "experts" mention the Suckeyes still have to face NC State before they open the rough and tumble Big 10 season.

No mention whatsoever of the game against the MAC powerhouse which has defeated it's last six(?) BCS opponents.

They'll be sleeping. And BG will make them pay... 04-rock
Bonus for BG is that the students have to purchase this game, it isnt included in their big 10 package. The game was very quiet last week... I would imagine very much the same for the game on the 20th!
Way to go, BG!

Also, a factor oft overlooked in all the discussion of "traveling fans" is the number of alumni MAC schools have all over the U.S. This weekend Miami plays at Northwestern in Evanston, IL. Chicago is a huge alum base for Miamians (like me!), and last time we played NU there were estimates of over 8K Miamians at the game..........with school at NU still not in session I do not expect a big crowd this weekend (they only had 22K for AirForce last week with no students in town), it'll be interesting to see the make-up of the crowd. I wouldn't be surprised to see a crowd of 25K with almost 10K of 'em being Miami fans!
Great Job BG!!!! 04-rock

Sleeping....I just ordered a truck load of Serta matresses to be delivered to the Shoe on 9/20....LOL!
Thanks guys for the kudos. We are trying like hell to get the program to the next level and rebuilding the fan base is most important.
I bought 4 season tix this year instead f 2 so I was able to scoop up 4 OSU tix.

After last weekend's trip to WL, I totally believe BGSU can win this game. It will be very difficult but the Bucks showed they are human. ANd we have played them tough as nails the other 2 games we played. If BG plays like they did against Purdue and OSU has a showing like SDSU, we'll take this puppy!
MAC teams have been getting closer to beating them (Miami, Ohio U and Akron) and Cincy had them on the ropes last yr. One day the big dog in the state is gonna get whipped and how sweet it would be if BG could pull it off.
The poise I witnessed Sat in Ross Ade Stadium was incredible. Lethal Weapon 5 has leadership skills as good as Craig K at OSU.
Our offense and defense played very well against a very solid Purdue squad...they led the B 10 in total offense and total defense in 2002. And returned 9 starters on both sides of the ball. Usually a MAC team will start to wear down in the second half due to lack of depth but fellas? BG has serious depth!

We need to take care of business with Liberty cuz we know they're a poor team. Get a big lead and rest the starters while getting quality playing time for the reserves...empty the bench. We'll need every single player on the travel roster contributing if we want to slay another giant.

BG will not be intimidated in the Shoe....You are correct, BG 6-0 vs BCS the last 2+ seasons.

And I hope Miami takes NW behind the woodshed...RedHawks always do well vs the Wildcats.

And Huskies??? Roll Tide Baby!!!!! Let's both bring home the kill on the 20th!

GO BG!! GO MAC!!!
