Great read from Hack. Funny...at the start of that final possession, I caught my self saying out loud "come on now...air it out". Then I noticed the game clock and said, out loud again, f\/<k...just ram it home". Great OL play there. Come with that every play, and this is an awesome football team.

I think this article does a great job of portraying what happened. The Mudhens dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the football. By the end of the game the Herd's D was wore down...which also was due in great part to Toledo's D getting Marshall's offense off of the field. It seems Toledo had the football the entire 4th quarter. I thought the Herd's D played as well as possible, but you just can't expect them to stay on the field as long as they did and expect to shut down such a powerful offense.
While I say congrats, and you did deserve to win, that wasn't Marshall football last night that we all witnessed. (And everyone knows it). On the other side of the coin, the sad thing is, we may not be capable of playing "Marshall football" this season.
Slug fest are a thing of the past, Northern Illinois is playing the type football that (unfortunately) "Wins Championships". I wish we had thier QB.
The only chance we have is to play the style of football that made us the "Champs". Even if that means playing a freshman with no experience who can "Fling it".
