I was skimming earlier to see if any of Miami's European-based players were back here in the States for the summer and saw some other familiar names that I thought I'd pass along.

These guys are playing in the Summer Pro League in LA:

-- Theron Smith, Grizzlies (still listed as such even after the expansion draft)
-- Greg Stempin, Nuggets
-- Keith McLeod, Warriors

I assume Tamar Slay will play for the Bobcats in whatever summer leagues they enter.

Eight NBA teams and a whole bunch of teams sponsored by sports agents will play in LA. There are several other summer pro leagues for which the rosters have not been posted yet, but I'll probably take a look at those over the next few weeks.

In related (and funnier) news, former UC center Art Long will suit up for the Wizards this summer. I'm still trying to find out if anyone has alerted the U.S. Park Police horse-mounted unit.

KSU's John Edwards will be playing for the Kings' Summer League team.

To my knowledge the MVP of the MAC, Bronco Mike Williams, will be playing for Memphis this summer.
