A newspaper reporter for "The Blade" was walking across a park in Toledo one day when in the distance he sees a child attacked by a dog. The reporter starts running across the park, but since it is some distance he fears the child will be badly injured if not killed before he can get there.
He sees in the distance though another child witnessing the attack and picking up a large rock from a path edging run of and hit the dog in the head, rendering it unconscious. Then the child pulls off his shirt and uses it to make a bandage to stop bleeding on his young playmate and proceeds to perform CPR.
As the reporter arrives the victim of the attack is coughing and beginning to breathe steadily. The reporter uses his cell phone to call 911; he then turns to helping take care of the child.
The ambulance arrives and the paramedics take the child to the hospital and animal control hauls the now deceased canine off to the pound. Before the paramedics leave, they explain that the actions of the victim
