5 MAC teams getting votes. This is awesome. We need to keep it up so that they are forced to put 3 or 4 MAC teams in the Top 25 when other teams lose and the MAC teams keep winning!

No way in hell I would rank Florida ahead of Marshall or Toledo.
Toledo behind two teams that it has beaten. I guess that makes sense in some alternative coach's universe.
That is such bull.... NIU should be in ranked at least in the top 20 and Marshall should be in the top 25. Toledo should break in the next week or two as teams lose and Toledo wins.

MU may have more points than UT simply because it was televised, on earlier, and against a slightly higher ranked team. It's still in the also receiving votes, so big deal. Of course, UT also has way more votes than UNLV.

Let's face it; if it wasn't for MAC coaches voting in the poll WE WOULD NOT EVEN HAVE
NORTHERN ILLINOIS in the Top 25, let alone five MAC teams receiving votes.
The Coaches Poll is a sham. How much effort do the coaches even take? How many of them actually have their SID or someone else submit their rankings?

My big questions are: Will the press notice this and take the AFCA to task??? Will the voting press subsequently rank the MAC teams even higher to compensate for the

Let's see where the AP ranks us before we crucify the coaches.
These wins are absolutely enormous for the conference, no doubt about it, but IMO, the games we have to win are the home games (NIU vs MD, UT vs Pitt) and the games where our top teams play BCS mid to lower level teams (Miami @ NU).
I've still been disappointed by UCF (@ Syr), Ohio (vs Minn in Athens). We've proved that we can win on any given Saturday (or Thursday
). Now we need to prove that we can consistently beat the mid level BCS teams that are NOT better than us. Big wins grab attention; consistency gets the respect.
Go MAC, still a couple more chances!! NIU hosts Iowa St next week in front of an already sold out stadium!
If it were not for Marshall joining this $ hit hole of a conference and dragging the rest of you stuck in the past 3 yards and a cloud of dust football losers into the present, this past Sat would not have been possible.
I right now claim Marshalls due credit for raising the level of play in this second rate conference.. You guys can say what you want, but if not for us, you guys would still have one bowl game, no national tv package and the the rest of the country would think the MAC is a sandwich from MacDonalds.
You guys owe us, if not for us, you would be what you were before, losers.
IF NIU takes care of ISU as I EXPECT they will...they will be in the teens...that woudl be great if Cuse falls to the Rockets

Herdon, you are so stupid! Toledo has beat more BCS teams than Marshall. Toledo is ranked in the Top 25 just about as much as Marshall in the last 6 or 7 years. We beat you on national TV and we have beat you 3 out of the last 4 years. Get a life Herdon! You can't keep saying that Marshall is the flagship of the MAC when you are 1-3 against another MAC team in the last 4 years!

The fact is...... Toledo should be ranked higher than Marshall. They beat us at our house(fair & square) , and have a win over a top 15 team. I would imagine if Toledo & Marshall both win next week this will be corrected. Like Carolina Herd-on said, Marshall's game was over at 3:30 and Toledo did not finish until 11:00.
On another note. This weekend proved what I always suspected. The top 5 or 6 teams in the MAC can compete with anybody in the country. While the remaining teams would have problems with a lot of 1-AA teams.
