Kent St. Can you tell me of the status of your injuries in the Penn St game and who will be starting at QB. How many injuries to your DL in the PSU game? I heard from some PSU fans that you finished the game with a 3rd string QB. Is that true? Will Harris start the game against UCF? Has your team improved any since last year? I am looking forward to this game. If you guys beat us which is very possible you will really see a meltdown on our home board and people asking for our coaches head. The natives at UCF are getting very restless these days

You guys were beating PSU 10-0 and then I heard the injury bug came into play. Is this true?
1. Kent's QB is Cribbs. Harris plays for BG.

2. Reports are that Cribbs may have been pulled as a precaution. We get no timely news around here about Kent State so maybe about mid week we'll hear something.

3. The second string QB was knocked out in the 2nd quarter and the 3rd string QB, Polk played the entire second half. If he plays, you win.

4. The DBs and pass D areawful (See Akron game stats) They are decent against the run.

5. They were up 10-0 in the first qtr on a fumble recovery in the end zone and a field goal. If Cribbs is healthy, maybe they put up more points, but the D would still have given up 32. The talent would not have allowed them to hold on and win.
Harris plays for BG.
We scored early on a fumble recovery, then on our first series, Cribbs turned his ankle (high sprain--not serious, could have come back it seems, but was held out the rest of the game.) Our second string QB A. Smith, who also plays TB and WR etc. hurt his shoulder in Q2 and is lost now for several weeks. He drove the team down for the Q1 FG. Our 3rd string QB is awful and our offense sputtered the rest of the way. Gotta think if Cribbs and Smith play the whole game, the outcome would not have been the same. We might stillhave lost but the offense would have been on the field more and that puts less stress on the defense etc. It quickly became more important to think about the MAC season than Penn State.
The loss of Smith hurts and he gave our offense more flexibility as he is a real talent. If Cribbs goes down, we're dead. Other than that, I think we will be in pretty good shape come Saturday. As goes Cribbs, so goes the Flashes.
Last year's teams got battered early and stung by tough, close losses at Miami and NIU. After that, Cribbs was half injured the rest of the season and the team kind of gave up. Hard to say what team you will see on Saturday. Certainly it's a better team than you saw last year in Orlando.
The game should give you a good barometer on your season. Talent-wise, we do not have the depth though we have some very good offensive skill players, a fair DL, and some very good LB's.
You guys weren't around, but 2 years ago this team was 6-5 (5-3) with a few of the same players and wins over Miami and NIU. Last year was meltdown. We don't know what we have yet this year, really.
So, how many UCF fans travel, anyway?
Sorry about confusing Harris and Cribbs. I don't know about UCF anymore. I thought our program was headed in the right direction but these players just quit against Syracuse. I have never seen our players quit the way they did against Syracuse. Reyes for Syracuse could of walked in on his last TD because nobody was chasing him. They all quit. If this game was in cold weather you would probably win. Is Penn St a bad football team this year? What is the opening line for the game? 03-razz 03-razz 03-razz
