MAC HEISMAN!
Gotta go with my boy Mike Turner. Undefeated has a lot to do with it. Plus, don't forget that though he had "only" 90 yards on 30 carries against Maryland, his 41 yard screen pass reception set up a TD. Add in there the first 100 yards game against Alabama in like 10 games, and he's my vote.

Harris has had good games, but I do discount 1AA games a bit and didn't he have like 3 INTs vs. Ohio St? Still, he's a stud.

Roethlisberger - he'd be the winner if not for the Iowa game. Tried to do too much and it cost the Hawks. Otherwise, he's been excellent.

Gradkowski - certainly an impressive youngster, but didn't lead the team to victory in Vegas.
Toledo's QB couldn't hold Frye, Harris, or Big Ben's jocks - case closed.

One of the picks was a tipped pass. Another came on the final play.

He also threw for something like 337 yards against Ohio State, despite quite a bit of pressure. He was sacked four times.

Harris gets my vote. I'll admit I'm totally biased, though. Take him out of the mix, and I think I'm voting for Roethlisberger.

What are you talking about? Gradkowski is the 4th fastest player on Toledo's team. He is 2nd on the team in rushing, averaging 5.8 yards per carry; 37.5 yards rushing per game. Gradkowski has completed 69.6% of his passes so far. He broke a MAC record by completing 49 passes against Pittsburgh last week. He has 10 TD passes on just 1 interception. Believe it or not, he actually has 1 reception too!

Gradkowski is 6-2, 209 lbs and he runs a 4.50 in the 40.

Toledo isn't at the bottom of their division right now, Akron is at the bottom of theirs though... case closed
Michael Turner gets my vote.

I had the chance to see Gradkowski in person, and I definately liked what I saw. Is he a freshman? This kid has lots of potential and is playing under a good coaching staff. He'll only get better.

I think you may still be steamed about that article that stated Frye is overrated. 03-nutkick
He's a sophomore.

You, sir, are delusional.
I went with Turner. This guy just single handedly can take control of a football game. I was very impressed with his performance against Bama.

Before the season I would have went with Big Ben. His poor showing against Iowa drops him below Turner, but I still believe of this group of players Ben will end up being the best player on the next level.

I was also tempted to vote for Harris. He certainly has the most athleticism of this group and has played spectacular so far. I kind of figured he or Turner should/would get the most votes in this poll.

Also, Gradkowski really impressed me in Huntington and against Pitt. This kid is extremely quick and has a strong arm. I couldn't give him the nod in this poll because I think he has a better supporting cast on offense than the other leading contenders.
Tough decision at this point, but the ever apparent prowess of Iowa's defense givevs the edge to whatshisname at Oxford (Ohio).
Some great performances last week, esp by Turner and the young rocket fella, but BR looks like the real deal. Harris has racked up big numbers against a couple of weak opps and has looked great otherwise, too. Watts may move up for me as the season goes on because he reminds me a lot of me as a receiver, except for the speed and the hands.
Nobody else close. Cribbs and Frye need to put up (quality wins) or shut up.
Roethlisberger is the best player in the MAC right now. Kudos to that guy at Toledo, but I'm beginning to believe I could play QB for Toledo and put up monster numbers with the system they have in place. :)

MT did a great job against Bama, but he needs to have a monster game to get the nod over big Ben at this point.
