How f--kin lame does Kansas State feel right now? Our offense except Mr. Darius Watts is not good. Not at all. Not even a bit. Let 'er rip......and may I be the first to say we blow monkey nuts.

Emotional let down. Nothing more. Phucking sucks, no doubt, but it happens sometimes. 03-banghead

The bad part isn't so much the loss itself, but the perception it causes. The same goes for Toledo not showing up at Syracuse. Sometimes young teams start to believe their press clippings. In the long run, the wake up call is better when it comes OOC than when it comes at the hands of Ball St. or Eastern. Trust me.

Not for the conference. OOC losses are killers.
Emotional letdown.

Check Oregon's score.

Apparently, it's time for my twice a year agreement with Oddball. Upsets happen all the time but my guess is that there is a statistically significant correlation between winning a huge game the week before and getting upset the next week. And, Oddball's right again. What counts are conference games. I will be the first to admit that Marshall has not necessarily had the best team in the MAC 5 of the last 6 years. But, in 6 years, not one team in the East has managed to win the "must win" games like Marshall. In the West, the team that, for the last couple of years that has proven the ability to win those games is Toledump and I think that is directly attributable to Amstutz the Hut. Both of those teams and their fans go into those games expecting to win - somehow, someway. Contrast that with fans and teams who go into those games thinking, "god, I hope we don't blow it again."
Emotional let down. What the hell? After you kick somebody's arse, you ought to be ready to take on the world. NIU is the real deal because they can do it all. They are very predictable. When you can broadcast your game plan and the other team still can't stop it, then you're the
shiznit. UCF has the talent to do things like Toledo and Marshall do, but we don't have the right coach. NIU has got Turner and he opens it up for Haldi. Novak just grinds it out with patience. Turner just goes out and gets his normal 150, while every other team hopes that someone has a career day. See Gradkowski, and Butchie Wallace.

Consider me in total agreement, except for the part about blowing monkey nuts.

You're on your own there.

Consistency is key to a good football team. And we don't have it right now.

We're young, and we should have a chance to get it together.

But asking this team to win out may be a bit much.

Don't thank me. Watch how NIU is getting it done. They will win the West and they're doing it the right way. Slow and patient and now it pays off. That is assuming Burner stays healthy. But with a rear end that big I can't imagine him getting injured.
