Okay, the last topic gave me an idea... Name 10 places or events, college or pro, that you want to see a game at but have not yet made it to.

MY LIST:

Rose Bowl
Hinkle (sp) fieldhouse
Camron indoor stadium
Mitche Stadium
Old Montreal forum
Wrigley
Kentucky Derby
LSU football game (any SEC game would do)
Beanpot
a full Dix stadium for a Kent football game
imradioboy Wrote:Kentucky Derby
Stick HIGHLY recommends this event!

Here's mine:

Army/Navy
Fenway Park
Wrigley Field
Lambeau Field
World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party (Gators and Dawgs)
Auburn/Alabama (either place)
Allen Field House (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!)
Sugar Bowl
Indy 500
Final Four

The big ones I've scratched off my list already:

Kentucky Derby (many times)
Olympics (boxing and basketball)
Neyland Stadium (Herd at Vols just this year)
The Swamp (Herd at Gators and Mississippi State at Gators)

Hmm, none of these really interest me. I've been to a fair number of bowls, and have seen a variety of teams

The Rose Bowl w/ ASU vs tOAMU had my interest, but that was past tense.
I guess I'd love to see BG in any BCS game.

*Added*
I wouldn't mind seeing the MCB at Ford Field, since I hear so many great things about it. Perhaps w/ a team other than BG, as BG goes to a BCS game.

And, I'd like to see 'new' Tigers Stadium.

As for college football rivalries: I suppose seeing Texas v Oklahoma would be good. I'd like to see if Texas really is into football, as they say.

Also, the Rugby World Cup. I don't know alot about rugby, but I have a great jersey for the All-Blacks.

And, maybe Wrestlemania...but Brock and Kurt Angle, Tajeri, Rey Mysterio and Ultimo Dragon are the only ones healthy that I'd have a keen interest in, and that's not a big lineup.
Some interesting stuff on people's lists, and I agree with a lot of them . . . .

Other ones I'd like to do but haven't yet:
-- A World Series game
-- UT/Texas A&M at Kyle Field
-- World Cup, preferably with the English, Germans, or Brazilians playing.
-- OSU/Michigan (I'm an agnostic about both teams, but it's a cultural event.)
-- A college hoops double-header at the Palestra.
-- A home opener for the new incarnation of the Washington Senators 03-wink

Things other folks mentioned that I have done:
-- Wrigley Field
-- Fenway Park
-- Final Four
-- Hinkle
-- Cameron Indoor Stadium for Duke-Carolina
-- The Beanpot
-- Olympics (sort of; some of the men's soccer for the '96 Atlanta games was played here in DC)
If you ever decide to go to the Indy 500, rent an RV and go early. Stay in the infield. You won't see a second of the race itself but you will have a grand old time. 03-wink
1. Stanley Cup finals game 7 in raleigh
2. Stanley Cup finals game 5 in raleigh
3. Stanley Cup finals games 1 and 2 in Raleigh
4. Please god just let the canes make the playoffs in raleigh (been there, f&%ing awesome)
5. MAC Championship in H'ton (been there, awesome)
6. MAC Championship at West Div home (pref Toledo, with Herd winning)
7. Herd B-ball game in packed Vet Fieldhouse (that would be cool)
8. World Cup in Brazil (with noone knowing I was there!!!)

Wrestlemania??? Okay, I would laugh but I did go to Starcade '88 to see Flair vs the American Dream. And liked it. I am sad.
Great thread!

1) Rose Bowl
2) The old Maple Leaf Garden
3) Fenway Park
4) Wrigley Field
5) Moon Stadium
6) Rubber Bowl (never been there...want to see if it is as bad as everyone says!)
7) The old Boston Garden
8) Lambeau Field
9) The Sun Bowl (awesome setting!)
10) Soldier Field
Dean Smith Center 04-bow
Cameron Indoor
Wrigley Field
Yankee Stadium
Fenway Park
Rose Bowl
Lambeau Field
Soldier Field
The Swamp(eventhough I hate Florida)

Yes Dave the Rubber Bowl is as bad as everyone says.
Oops.. I forgot about the Palestra, I am going to add the big 5 to my list.

Also, where/what is moon stadium?
My Wish List

The Horseshoe
The Swamp
The Rose Bowl
Olympics...prefer basketball but will be satisfied with anything.
Indy 500 (Done several NASCAR races...once you go your hooked)
Super Bowl
World Series game...dream game would be Reds vs Indians
Final four
My wish list has only one place:

1. Anywhere I can watch Lisa Guerrero & Jill Arrington oil wrestling

09-hitit
Fenway park
Wrigley field
Yankee stadium
Rose Bowl
Cameron Indoor
Wembly stadium
Doyt Perry Stadium (the place never loses its' magic)
Radioboy, only Moon Stadium I can think of is Robert Morris College in Pennsylvania.
In no particular order:

-- Bowling Green vs. Michigan at Ford Field, Bowling Green vs. Ohio State at Cleveland Stadium or Bowling Green vs. whoever in the Rose Bowl (game and stadium)
-- Lambeau Field
-- An English soccer game, and I'm not so particular about the venue, but it would have to be the Premiership. Maybe Liverpool.
-- A game at Spartan Stadium (I've seen games in the Big Ten's three biggest stadiums; I'm curious about others, including Iowa and Purdue)
-- A game at Army in late October.
-- The Detroit Lions playing in old Tiger Stadium
-- The Detroit Red Wings in Olympia.
-- A SWAC or MEAC game

I've seen an Alabama game (vs. Bowling Green, in 1996), but it was at Legion Field. It might be nice to see a game at an actual home SEC stadium.
venues I need to hit before I croak:

Yankee Stadium
Fenway Park
Michigan's stadium for a football game
Death Valley @ LSU
Cameron Indoor
...that's all I can think of right now.

Wrigley Field is freaking AWESOME - a great place to watch a game. Go there at least once to watch a game, and you'll thank me later.

That was a cool place to see a game. Every seat made you feel like you were right on top of the ice. Then again, when you're 10, what isn't cool? I remember thinking that it was awesome to go see the Mud Hens at the Rec Center...
1. Kyle Field (12th man)
2. Doak Campbell Stadium (FSU)
3. Bama/Auburn game at either stadium
4. Seattle Seahawks (that stadium looks awesome)
5. The Old Boston Garden

Ive been to almost all the Big-Ten stadiums - they all suck!
I left this out:

I want to see an Oakland Raiders game :)
