I still say, that while Miami and BGSU have looked very good thus far, you'd be tripping to pick either ahead of NIU based on wins over competition.

Miami could have been the higher ranked team, but Big Ben made too many mistakes against a good Iowa team.

I agree Huskie...NIU has earned that top 25 ranking...although Miami and BG should be in.
Miami's wins have been impressive.

These 3 teams along with UT and Marshall? Any one of them can win the MAC. And I shouldn't leave out WMU or Ball St at this point. They are both UNDEFEATED in MAC play.

The West race is gonna be crazy! 04-rock
The West is going to be crazy. I am impressed with Ball State and I am very worried about our game in Muncie. We all know that Toledo has a tough time at Ball State anyway.

BSU was tied with Pitt 14-14 at halftime, and this was @ Pitt! They were also only losing to Boston College 28-23 at one point before BC pulled away from them. Now beating Kent 34-17 shows that they are pretty good. I am not saying that Kent is great, but they have played better this year and a 17 point victory over them is nothing to dismiss anymore.
I just don't see BG 6 places ahead of NIU. NIU has deserved a higher ranking until BG proves elsewise :D

I hope the ranking isn't predicated solely upon our win over Purdue. Purdue has looked very good these past several weeks, so they deserve their current ranking. I can see BG better than Michigan (native American word for "choke"), but I'm not sure about MN.

Give me the list of 117 and a set of 25 darts, I'll get you your top 25 ranking! Or perhaps we can pick the top 25 ala the AP and play cow-chip bingo!

Looks like it's going to be a 5-team race for the west title.

it looks like i'm going to have to learn to enjoy my hair while I still have it.
No way on earth Bowling Green should be ranked behind Purdue.

Not that I disagree with you, but consider this.

BG beat Purdue by 1 point. Yes it was at Purdue, but it was 1 point. This tells me that the teams are pretty close. Consider Purdue's wins, and yes there have already been some blowouts, I can see where some people say that Purdue had a bad game against BG. Now, if Purdue should be ranked higher than BG it shouldn't be more than a few spots at this point since BG has only lost to OSU by 7 points. However, I can see where people would vote Purdue over BG right now.
