Look for an announcement sometime in the next 2 weeks that Marshall and UCF are moving to C-USA together for the 2005 season in all sports. Word is that UCF and MUs ADs have been working together and both have said they will go to C-USA as long as the other is included.

I've been through this before... I won't believe it until I see the 2005 schedule with tickets in hand.

UCF fans don't know about the whole Marshall to C-USA thing before. A million Marshall fans were posting that it was a done deal, hell, even West Virginia newspapers were reporting it. However, it never happened. C-USA didn't even vote for expansion at the time.
So, never believe a word you read on Internet Message Boards or a word you read in the West Virginia newspapers.

In fairness, that "newpaper report" was from "the Mullet." He gets most of his "information" from internet message boards.

Well, I won't be happy to see UCF and Marshall leave, but at least we won't have to change the name of our conference now to keep our new "power program" UCF happy! :D
