Waz up with Miami, Oh? you only lost one game... and beat everyone else handily... sheesh... I think you deserve top 25 billing.. if you win the rest of your games, then beat Marshall... you will get that top 25...

Pssst... (NIU don't lose now... we want you ranked high for the game in the Glass Bowl  )
I agree, I think Miami is the most solid team in the MAC right now from top to bottom. They should be getting more pub. Too bad that stinker against Iowa continues to hold them down.
No doubt in my mind Miami is the class of the MAC this year. Considering they have bugs and MUg at home, they should be in the MACC. I long for a UT-Miami match up. It is a game that should occur every year.
I'd even agree with this statement right now. Miami has looked the most consistent since the end of the Iowa game. NIU doesn't take charge of games, but they find a way to win.

NIU has lost two 2002 all-MAC players for the year - WR/PR Dan Sheldon (home run hitter, led nation in punt returns last year) and LB Nick Duffy (true stud MLB). We're also currently missing 2002 all-MAC DE Travis Moore, though he should return. Another DE Jason Frank went out this week with a torn MCL and is out for 2-6 weeks. Couple this with the 3 potential starting OLinemen that were lost since the end of last season, and it's getting to be more and more amazing that the Huskies are where they are. That said, these injuries are starting to add up - luckily, the Duffy and Sheldon injuries are at deep positions for NIU, but each of those kids has special skills.
You smelly dogs need to win all your games... then... come to the Glass Bowl... C'mon... The tailgate will be kicking... beer will be flowing and the game will be sweet!!!!
Maybre it's just as well, since it seems that many a MAC team loses their "focus" when they hit the top 25. In any case, if BG and MU can make it to our showdown game in Oxford (in early Nov.) with no more losses, the winner of that game will certainly be ranked (and BG may make it to the top 25 before that game).

I must agree...and as good as BGSU is. Miami's defense was a major question mark entering the season and it looks like they have a pretty good d unit.

Miami, NIU and BG all should be ranked and we all know it. 03-banghead
Here is my hope... NIU stays ranked for the game in the Glass Bowl, where Toledo will be the clear winner... then, if BG can get ranked... Toledo will stomp on their bird beaks... then, we will travel to the MACC to play Miami and squash them as well... After all that, Toledo should be right in line with the Natl Champion BCS title game...
Uh, yeah...
If you win out--and it could happen--the only invite you will get is the mandatory one to the putt-putt bowl again. You won't get invited into the top 25 with losses to Syracuse and UNLV, those bastions of div. 1A football. Maybe top 25 if yo win the bowl game, too.
