I know the MAC had 2 ranked teams last year...did they play while ranked? (I thought they did.)

They also skipped the part about beating Purdue...you know that team that is actually in the Top 10, NOW.
That story is mistaken. Miami played at Kent State on Nov. 10, 1973. That appears to have been the last meeting of ranked MAC teams.

Actually when Toledo beat Marshall in the 2001 MACC both teams were ranked.

But was it the coaches poll?
I think we were both ranked in both polls at the time
I don't think you were ranked going into the MACC in 2001. Not after the SERIOUS ******-whuppin the Falcons laid on you.

After the MACC and your win over the CUSA pansies, you were ranked

2002
Toledo 42
bgsucks 24

Even a squirrel can find a nut every once in a while. 03-wink

Seriously though.......Brandon Gregg will probably stay at BG for quite a while because he fits in with the rest of the hicks in BG. The following is a Gregg quote in the Toledo Blade on Sunday:

After the year 2000, we were happy to be playing football at all.

We might have had a little more luck if we weren't such sticklers for small details like the NCAA rules regarding infractions. Call us crazy, but our University adminstrators like to maintain silly little things like entrance requirements and institutional control of the athletic teams.

So far as this year goes, we have to win out out at home and at Ball State to take the West. I like our chances, a lot...
Good luck Flipper. Just having a little fun. 03-wink

Well, let's see your remaining schedule:

vs NIU
@ Miami
vs Kent State
@ Ball State
vs Toledo

While I think you will get the upset against NIU, you will lose to Miami and Toledo. Kent will be tougher than you think, but BG will win that game.

Hell, I could be wrong though. You could lose to NIU, Miami, and Toledo. Who knows?
