The BGSU website is listing the game as a sellout, and has stopped seeling tickets over the internet.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
How many tickets did they sell? the ticket sales do not include the BG students correct?
Correct. Students are allowed in with their student IDs. No telling how many will show up.
Factman, this would have come across a lot more credible had anyone else other than you posted it.
Here you go. I put on my sunglassses and went over to the BG website.

Looks like general admission is sold out. They have "less than 1,000" reserved seats left. It seems to me like those should go pretty fast.
They've stopped internet sales and general admission. I overheard a marketing type from BG at lunch saying all seats should be sold by close of business today.

Is that the first ever sell-out there?
I t will be the 4th or 5th. The first since that screw job against the Rockettes in 1983 that cost the Falcons the league championship in front of 33,000 shocked witnesses.

(actually, I don't remember anything from the game other than a couple of really long punts)
I quit going to games at BUGS several years ago. Seems every time I would go down there I would get cow chit on my shoes. :D
Oh, cows don't chit in Toledo?
Great news! Hope they flood the Gameday crew for TV. 04-rock
The exit ramp from I-75 is going to be an absolute nightmare. I'd love to get a crack at that 50-50 raffle, although don't they call it "Split the Pot"? - which always sounds like to me it should be going on in Athens 03-wink
Haven't you won enough 50 - 50 raffles lately???? Midnight madness ring a bell? 03-wink
Bowling Green has sold out Perry Stadium three times:

1971: 26,860, for Toledo
1975: 24,194, for Miami
1983: 33,527, for Toledo

The stadium capacity from 1966-82 was 23,272. From 1983-2002 it was 30,599. It is now 28,599.
I've got my ticket and will be leaving VERY early to get there to see Gameday. Apparently we have 200 more tickets coming our way. Hopefully we can sell all of them, but it shouldn't be a problem. Looking forward to seeing the tree. I heard that the oldest or biggest got blown over in a storm a few months ago(near some cemetary?).

That tree is more commonly known as "the other."

Don't forget to sit on "the hill" and check out the lovely views of the I-75 rest area! :D

Sorry, but that "hill" isn't high enough to see the rest stop down the road!! Doubt if you could even see inside the stadium from there, but maybe part of it! :D
Those of you coming in from out of town for gameday may want a take a few minutes between the show and the game to head over to Anderson Arena. The men's bball team is holding an open scrimmage at 1pm. A lot of the preseason mags have picked us to finish first or second in the West so it should be a pretty good show.
