BG moved up nicely (never hurts to play awesome in front of a capacity crowd on national TV!), and NIU hung in there pretty well (I was guessing that they'd drop to around #24).

Miami is still on the outside (#26) looking in, although there will be another poll taken before the upcoming BG-Miami mid-week ESPN2 game. Be pretty neat to have back-to-back national TV games with 2 ranked MAC teams!!

If only Alabama would have beaten Tennessee. The Tide only had about a thousand chances.

Okie, in a funny way two good things may have happened to the RedHawks this week........first, we actually were in a competitive game in which we were briefly down early in the 4th quarter, and second, we won't be getting any "big heads" over being ranked with BG and Marshall looming.

With respect to the former, we haven't been in a game that lasted much past halftime (competitively) since our loss to Iowa in the first game, and I think it was probably a good thing for the team to forge a comeback win and play in a close game, 'cause the BG and Herd games are likely to be competitive battles til the end.
