LaTech is in the WAC without an opponent within 1,000 miles

Ark St, MT, ULL, UNT, Troy are in Sun Belt Limbo

The WAC will either force LaTech out or invite three or more Sun Belt teams as EWAC travel partners for LaTech

The MAC could sew up ownership of the New Orleans bowl is they strike quickly
Good Call.
Yo, BS--where did you get your news?

Inquiring minds want to know....

If true, my understanding is that Idaho will NOT get a WAC invite. The WAC could look to North Texas. I'm not sure they would go further than inviting North Texas, from what I understand from surveying the rumors and what not.
If true (UCF not getting a BE offer), and USF is leaving C-USA for the BE, what's UCF to do? There's really not that great a fit in the MAC (although I guess the MAC could make an offer to a southen school, but not sure any really makes sense), and it's a big $2.6 mil to switch to C-USA. All things ($$03-wink being relatively equal, it's an easy decision to go with C-USA for reasons of geography and southern-based bowls, but will UCF have some donors like Marshall willing to buck up a mil just to play in another non-BCS conference??? Stay tuned I guess......

This is also good news for Marshall, as USF was another one of C-USA's stronger football programs. This should make it a little easier to win their Eastern division, and contend for bowl games. There continue to be rumors that TCU may be considering the MWC, which would make it easier to win the C-USA title game as well, since TCU is arguably the current C-USA's best football school once UL leaves.
It also makes it better for Miami, for now you too can win the East Division. :D

Until they put BG back in the East, if thats what they are going to do.
I spoke too soon....forgot about you guys moving back to the East.
well, Herdfan4Life, I've got to admit that I don't lose as much sleep over having UCF around in my division as having you guys (da Herd) around! :D

Anyway, I have always considered BG one of our best MAC rivalries and would look forward to having them in the MAC East for a guaranteed yearly battle!
Heading back to the East will restore our rivalry with Miami and improve our recruiting visiblity in the NE part of the state (assuming the media out that way still covers Kent and Akron). It will suck to not have NIU and WMU on the annual schedule though. Having a chance to knock off both of them each year helps recruiting in Chicago and the rest of Illinois...

And that NIU rivalry is heating up nicely. Who knows, maybe in a year or two they would have supplanted the Rockettes as the team we most love to hate
Ex Cincy Kid one down year does not make a program. UCF is having a down year because of players that failed out, career ending injuries, and players quiting the team for personal reasons. If UCF stays in the MAC you better believe we will be a contender every single year for the east division.

As far as this internet rumor about UCF being rejected by the Big East that is all bull until the Big East confirms it officially. 2.6 million is a lot of dough to join C-USA. I am not sure where UCF is going to get the money to join C-USA. I will donate more to UCF if we join the Big East. C-USA does not really excite me too much with the best teams leaving the conference. SMU, Tulsa and Rice are yearly bottom feeders. On the other hand UCF is having a down year because of the reasons mentioned above. Get all your digs in this year because we will be a force in the next few years.

I wasn't really trying to give UCF a "dig".......I was just stating the obvious since Marshall has won the last 6 MAC East crowns. UCF obviouly hasn't been around long enough to make an impact yet.

Well, Crack don't smoke itself.........

If BE snubbed us, why are we meeting with them on Friday?

Try reading the Pitt and Washington papers yesterday and today.

I'm thinking our invite will come on the 7th of November.

As for your suggestion on bowls......you are right on the money!!
Good Job.
