I agree 100%........amazingly I have seen many Marshall fans on the various boards hoping they lose but here is why we should hope they win.....
First of all I'm sick of reading all the posts on this board from BG fans with a swelled head that now feel they are God's gift to college football this year. I think they need to be brought down a notch.
Second of all, I want Miami to be ranked when we beat them. That would be 2 wins over top 25 this year......If the west champ is still in for the MACC just think that could be 3 in one year!
I know if Miami loses that still gives us leeway if we slip against UCF or OU (providing we can beat them Wed.) but overall I want to see them win tonight.

You really are a tard, I haven't seen any falcon posts thinking we are all high and mighty. Might be the jealousy coming out. Yea you beat Kansas State, big deal, doesn't mean crap if you can't beat Troy State the next week. Is one of the major reasons the MAC has lost respect from the college football world.
It was awesome seeing two (ranked) traditional MAC schools on national TV with a packed "house" at BG, and now tonight we'll get to witness another first........a national TV audience for a night game at Yager between long-time rivals BG and Miami. It doesn't get much better than that.
Even though it's a Tuesday night, a very good crowd is expected tonight, and the weather should be great (albeit windy perhaps). I invite you all to tune in tonight!

Any Herd fan rooting for Miami in this one is not using his/her thinking cap. Miami is a divisional foe and any loss they incur can do nothing but help the Herd. Three scenarios:
1. Miami beats BUGS and Marshall - Game over. Marshall's out of the East race.
2. BUGS and Marshall beat Miami - Miami has two losses to Marshall's one. However, given the penchant of the Herd to be very inconsistent this year, it is not inconceivable that we could drop one to either UCF or Ohio. Miami and Marshall would then both have two losses. In the head to head tiebreaker, since Marshall beat Miami, Marshall wins and captures the East - again - and leave Miami fans :crying: again.
3. Miami beats BUGS and Marshall beats Miami - Miami and Marshall would both have one conference loss but that then leaves the Herd with no room for error. Assuming Miami wins out, if Marshall lost to either UCF or Ohio, then Miami would win the East despite us having beaten them. They'd have one loss and we'd have two.
Besides, how much more fun is it when the BUGS fans know that they've done their part to help the Herd? :wave:

Am I terribly worried? No. But, Ball State absolutely thumped Toledump. We lost to Troy State. We squeaked by Buffalo. Do I think it's likely we'd lose to either UCF or Ohio? No. But, it is certainly possible and my rooting is going to be for whomever can potentially help the Herd. Period. Believe it or not, if the Rockettes were playing the Redskins tonight, I'd choke it up and even root for Amstutz and his Huts.
Well I can see your POV but in reality if we can't win those games we don't deserve anything this year anyway. The Miami game is going to be for all the marbles in the East really no matter the outcome of tonight.
