I have seen Bobby P. take a great Herd Program capable of reloading year after year and run it into the ground. :crying:

1st Special teams under Jim Donnan were a strong point. Now under Pruett are among the worst in Division 1 and have cost Marshall dearly in more than once game.

2nd Defense. Again under Donnan dominating in every aspect. With Pruett every running back looks like a Heisman trophy candidate.

3rd Recruiting to me only Byron Leftwich and Darius Watts are the only Big Time players Pruett has recruited. Donnan brought Chapman, Brown, Pennington, and a host of others to Marshall.

How in the world with all the scholarships given to QB's is Goatman the best QB Marshall has. Must be that Pruett can coach but he can't recruit.
When you sell your soul to the devil for glory, you're bound to get bitten eventually. Best of all, it's on national TV for all who actually believed your glory to behold! 04-rock 04-rock 04-rock

It's called karmic justice. Suck on it. :D

When you cheat to win, eventually you get caught and the teams that you've cheated get revenge. None of you would face that fact earlier, now you have no choice.
Wonder if Bobby P. picks his nose and scratches when he is in a recruits house?

If they're lucky he just picks his nose and scratches it.

"Guess where my finger's been and I'll give you a scholarship"

This is crackhead talk.

Marshall is one of the very few midmajors in the world lucky enough to have a coach who clearly doesn't want to be anywhere else. For god's sakes Marshall is in West Virginia. *Everyone's* leaving West Virginia -- except Bobby Pruett.

Pruett has only won five league titles in seven years. Cut him just a tiny bit of slack, will ya? I know your frustration -- you'll remember that Miami whipped my favorite team eight days ago. But I wasn't taking it out on our coach -- and compared to Bobby Pruett, Gregg Brandon has proven almost nothing.

Marshall wasn't built in a day, and it won't be dismantled in a day.

Pruett did his best to keep Donnan
Speaking of thugs, I wonder what Miami transfer Zac Elcess is thinking about now? DOY!

NC Herdfan,,,, with fans like this who needs oddjob 03-nutkick
All of us are dissapointed BUT we dont need fans like you. :chair: I`d definatly wouldnt want to have to depend on you when the chips are down and things are not going your way.
And while I am at it,,,I still love the Herd and will support them all I can ,,, not turn and run at the hint of adversity 04-rock
What a misguided F-head. Josh Davis, Steve Sculio, Curtis Head, Hiram Moore, Johnathan Godard, Rembert.......these are bad recruits?

I reiterate what was said earlier we dont need ya....get a WVU shirt.

As for the prop jokes.....you are probably right in one regard the scholarship hits are hurting now...but I think more than anything MIAMI is hurting now, they smacked us, they are for real and a really good team. There is no amount of xcuses that can take away the win they had and the team they have.

Good win Miami

Go Herd

Who said that the Hatfield/McCoy feud was over? Isn't there a C-USA forum where ya'll can discuss who is a good fan and who is a bad fan?
This is so funny. Marshall fans have been raving about how great Pruett is and how they need to keep him around for a long time. Then they have a season like this (Not a bad season at all) and some guy gets all up in arms.

Hey NCwhatever - Marshall beat Kansas State this year. Marshall is still going to have a winning record if they win 1 of their last 2 games....they are 6-4 now. You are just one of those guys that give the Herd fans a bad name.

Coach Pruett is not the problem. 03-banghead
The problem is CandyGraham and the offensive cord.
Again nice win Miami.....
Last night was the kind of game where you could have done everything right and the coaches could have made all the right calls, but the better team was still going to thump you. God brought the wind, you brought the thunder, but Miami just played awesome football.

You obviously haven't read this. It disagrees with your opinion.
I didn't hear any Thunder. 03-razz

I thought Gochneaur was supposed to be better than Stan Hill and would have passed him on the depth chart regardless of injury.

Thanks Oddball I've never seen that before

There is a difference between seeing and reading, just as there is difference between reading and comprehension. Your post suggests that the latter was eluding you.
Being a good football coach from a technical standpoint and having ethics are two different things. Pruett has sacrificed integrity too many times for me to have much respect for him as a man, but I respect him as a football coach.

That's not intended as a flame, but it's my honest opinion.
NC, I normally reserve this comment for Oddball but I'll toss it your way: you're an idiot. All Pruett has done is take a I-AA program and win a I-A conference 5 of 7 years. All Pruett has done is win the East division in that conference 6 years in a row. All Pruett has done is win five bowl games in a row - something no other team in the nation can say. All Pruett has done is move himself into the ranks of elite coaches by having a top 5 winning percentage.

Props to Miami. They were clearly the better team and they appear to be the best team in the MAC this year. Roethabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz is a phenomenal QB. He made some absolutely fantastic throws last night and I can't recall a single poor decision he made. Fortunately, he'll be gone next year.

In some ways, this may have been a good game for Marshall. Pre-season, I read several reports that the Marshall player had not spent as much time in the weight room and doing conditioning drills as they had in past years. Success doesn't always breed success. Many times, it breeds complacency. Think GM in the 70's. A good butt whuppin and the loss of the MAC East may be just what next year's starters needed to motivate them in the off-season.
