It didn't dawn on me until yesterday when I was running my 4th mile... the tin plate heads have crowing about the lack of attendance in the MAC while their numbers are up... first, they have an MAJOR advantage and second it just, once again, proves me right...
in the turd v tin plate head game
KSU started this year on the new "Party Platforms" on the new eastside stands. They were also pretty liberal about people leaving the platforms with a beer in their hands since I saw quite a few on the westside with them. Maybe that will help next year as people learn more about it. The platforms were packed at the YSU game.
For the most part, you can walk in to the Toledo games with a large cup of beer... most people do not care... however, my buddy last weekend had to dump his out... (double gulp) cause this old man caught him... however, I went right in front of him with my cup... didn't catch me...
Oh what an uproar there would be by the bible thumpers if Marshall ever tried that. I could see maybe having it in special sections but not the whole stadium. I personally can't stand being close to anyone really drunk at a game but I can see where it might help attendance some. We always seem to have some who never even get in the stadium, they just stay at the tailgates and keep drinking. Many leave at halftime and never come back so they can drink. A lot of people sneak liquor in as well and pour it into their soft drinks.
The reason that beer is allowed at the Citrus Bowl is because the stadium is not on UCF's campus. KingBob must be pretty slick with bringing his beer into the Glass Bowl because I can't remember seeing anyone able to sneak in with beer in the last couple of years.
Here we go again. Lets find everything UCF is possibly doing to piss and ***** about. Oh....UCF's attendance must be higher just cuz they sell BEER. Give me a break, you guys are idiots. Beer is 5 bucks a pop, not many people will buy that....needless to say people don't come into the stadium just to buy a 5 dollar beer. Cry some more. :crying:
Marshall led the MAC in attendance last year and was, what, 70th? out of 117 teams in D-1A.
When the best attendance is still that bad, anyone arguing that they have 'good attendance' is ludicrous.
It's like arguing over whose shoes have fewer holes in them.
When are you guys leaving? The whining is getting really tiresome...

Or who's wife is the least fat...
I don't think KingBob was trying to poke at UCF. I think he just wants the admin's at the MAC schools to open up to the possiblity. So he is pointing out that a conference mate is already doing it. And that there are benefits. Personally, I know that KingBob has his own agenda. He drinks like a fish so he will put what ever positive spin on selling alcohol that he can.
Chug Chug Chug. Go Bob! :D
I don't think its the MAC that says no to beer at games.....i think that it's the NCAA.
Thanks tin headed nighty night time
Bob, I know it's POSSIBLE to take stuff into the Glass Bowl, but official university policy prohibits it. Constantly posting that you do so may be inviting much more serious inspection at the gates. My suggestion, if you want to keep pulling it off, is to shut up about it before someone that matters notices.
