So, does anyone have any experience w/ video conferencing?

We are using Windows XP, however, my step-son's father has Windows 98 SE. This means he can't use Windows messanger (to the best of our knowledge), while Microsoft doesn't support Netmeeting anymore.

Does anyone know of a free site to register for Netmeeting? Or can anyone suggest good freeware that both systems could employ?

Both ends have high-speed internet access, so I don't think that will be a problem.

Gracias

Send him your XP CD to upgrade his OS. This message will self-destruct in 5 second.
I use it in my workplace all the time. I have a videoconferencing system that requires 3 Stand alone t 1 lines on both sides. Also if you use a net based system rather than a stand alone system, your quality might be affected by net traffic. The stand alone t 1 lines is the best way to go and also to have the same OS on both sides is also helpful.

BTW I work as a Director of AV in a hotel so I really dont have experience on the home market just the high end stuff so Take it for what it is worth....

Hope this helps...
