Now that Texas has locked up a BCS bid, that opens up the Fort Worth Bowl. In my opinoin, TCU owes the MAC something for not playing Miami in the GMAC. That something is recommending "their" bowl to invite Northern Illinois. It would be the RIGHT thing to do.
I'll really be peeved if they invite Tulsa, UConn, or wait two weeks to see if Syracuse is available. I think it would be the ultimate "slap in the face". After all, how many teams go 10-2, spend half the season in the Top 25, reach the BCS Top 10, and yet fail to get an invite to an open bowl? What's is gonna take, some of Al Capone's boys to go down to Cowtown and "twist some arms"?
