my guess is 15K butts in the seats at the kickoff of the Herd game........they got the 19K figure because about 4K season ticket holders were no shows.

I'll have to admit Motown, that is a pretty slick formula.
You might add criteria for a string of wins vs a string of losses. I think EMU could have done better than 4k because they won a couple in a row. Maybe add 2-3k for 2 or more wins and subtract 2-3k for two or more losses in a row.
