Any surprise who's #1 in the MAC?

<a href='http://www.msnbc.com/modules/sports/collegefootballstadiums/conference_rankings.asp?&0sp=s1b11#mac' target='_blank'>Stadium Rankings</a>
We gotta do something about that #4 ranking for the fans. There's usually enough of us there. Maybe we ought to try to make a little NOISE without having to be begged by the players.
This write up is a little outdated. 3 Rivers Stadium has been gone for like 3 years now.

UCF isnt even listed.
Considering that they rent out a city facility that is not their own, I don't think UCF should be listed.

The poll was published a few years back. Not that it invalidates the findings, but any improvements made in the past few years will not be reflected in the assessment.

Im not surprised by the #1 ranking, I am surprised at the #8 ranking, that stadium should have been ranked at about 11 or 12 imo.
I agree with the poster above that we shouldn't get props for a rented stadium.
That'd be like USF getting props for renting the Bucs' stadium.

Check back with us in a few years after we've built (I hope) Daunte Culpepper Stadium.

This poll validates what I have said regarding Dix Stadium being comparable to other facilities in the MAC. According to Kent’s overall ranking, there are six stadiums better and six stadiums worse than Dix.

I agree that Ohio has the best setting and Miami has the second best setting in the MAC. I also agree that Akron has the worst setting and structure and Kent probably has the worst fans based on attendance.

Now when are we going to see a ranking of the best bars of the towns in the MAC? Rays Place in Kent has to be close to the top of the ranking. 04-drinky
My aunt lives in Kent and as a little kid we would go to Ray's sometimes for lunch. I remember the big moose head above the bar and the food being good. I haven't been there in years though. Now that I am older and corrupt, I can guess from the setting I remember that it would be a great place to get loaded! 04-drinky 04-drinky 04-drinky

Notice that BG was rated #12 for fans.

Since you haven't been there in years, you can visit the Website of Ray's Place at <a href='http://www.raysplacekent.com/index2.html#.html' target='_blank'>http://www.raysplacekent.com/index2.html#.html</a> and see what you are missing.

I am. The Glass Bowl is a dump that smells strongly of urine.

Kent should get extra points for having the best damn sausage sandwich in the league. Other than that though, Dix Stadium isn't very impressive.

Have they finished the new bleachers? If so, maybe I'll form a new opinion when I visit this fall.

Well thats if you want to go by this one write up. Someone said it was a group of writers. I wonder how many of these stadiums they have even been to.

Well that statement is a little unfair don't ya think? If Byron hadn't pissed himself when he got introduced to the Glass bowl turf over and over again when the boys from the hills got b!tch slapped to the tune of 42 - 0 in the Glass bowl you might have a different opinion.

42 - 0.

I was there. I will NEVER forget that game.

35 - 0 at the half.

A little old woman told me to "screw off". True story.

I had never seen so much pure hatred for another team in my life. Also had my car vandalized and my grill destroyed.

No big deal though I understood their anger.

So what so Pitt, Temple, Louisville, Tulane, San Diego State, & USC should also be kicked off this old list.

I agree... except for Louisville, since that stadium was built almost exclusively for their use.

I've never seen it that way before or since. The pure, unadulterated hate flowing from the stands was unbelievable.
Why is UCF not listed, but Tulane is?
