Very impressive win by Miami! I agree, I think they could play with just about anybody this year.

If I am BG, I am a little bit nervous about receiving that MCB bid though. :eek:

Like I've been saying. NIU doesn't deserve the bowl bid. They lost to BG and UT. They couldn't get it done on the field, so getting in with $ is a crime against humanity!

The crime against humanity is not having all three teams - NIU, BG and Miami - all with over 10 wins, not getting bowl bids.

Like it or not, BG had a chance to guarantee that bowl bid tonight on the field and they didn't get it done. You'll still probably get the bid, but best I can tell neither BG nor NIU actually got it done on the field when they absolutely had to.

But again, I still expect BG to get the bid, and Jerry Punch just appeared to confirm that.

BTW, the guys said the buzz on the sidelines was that the MCB was about to extend a bid. So it's very likely BGSU is in (as they should be).

Miami 2003 has to be one of the best MAC teams, ever. Congrats on your championship. You deserve your high BCS ranking. How about Miami of Fla. against Miami. That would be a great match up. Now go embarrass Louisville.

Dan I disagree. BG did what they had to do to win the West, that is why they were playing last night. The MACC (eventhough by far it was their worst performance of the year) is just a perk for having a great regular season, unfortunately they played only one good half, then all hell broke loose after halftime. Did BG do what they had to do last night to be a lock in for the MCB? Absolutely not, but they are the only team in the West that got it done in the regular season to get to the MACC.
