O'Leary wasn't quickly scooped up as the Vikings defensive coordinator. He was brought on as defensive line coach and promoted to coordinator after Wille Shaw was fired.
An excellent hire for UCF, IMO. It'll be interesting to see what kind of staff he brings in.
Actually, you maroon, I've always LIKED UCF and despite the crappy conference they are joining will still root for them except against the MAC. You, on the other hand, I like because barrelfish are amusing.
I've also congratulated UCF fans on the hiring of O'Leary and think it was an excellent hire.
King Kaufman is a sportswriter that I don't always agree with, but tend to find amusing. If you don't like what he says, send him an e-mail. He usually responds, and will probably have you laughing pretty hard with his responses. But, beware, he does use correspondence with fans in his column.
I thought maybe some folks might like to read about a guy who will be coaching in the MAC for a year (maybe), and probably at UCF for two.

Why in the hell are you guys getting on Oddball's case. He just posted a freakin article on our new coach, what's wrong with that. He didn't write the damn thing himself.
And KT- FYI, Oddball has always seemed to like UCF, he has only jumped on the case of some of our foolish fans that ran their mouth.
Sorry to rant, but I read this thread and sometimes my fellow Knights just irk me! Too freakin sensitive :rolleyes:
