Great night. I posted the award winners on the TRF website.

Our table included Lance Moore and his mother, and also big J.P. Bekasiak, a future big time defensive lineman.

At the end of the awards ceremony we got to see an awesome ten minute video of the season's highlights. Fred and Amy cried.

We had talked about big hits in another thread and my vote would have gone to Kaczur unloading on Babin until I once again saw Rodney Gamby explode into the Pittsburgh returner and watched Erik Faasen steam roller that poor defensive back at Central Michigan. WOW!!

They have got to make copies of that video and sell them!!

Amy should have some good pics of players and their families.

Justin Sorensen, the huge (6-8, 320#) OL from Vancouver British Columbia was at the banquet and he is BIG!

I would love to see that kid in the midnight blue and gold. did you get to see how he reacted to the faasen carry? they are about the same size, give or take 30 pounds. hopefully he got to see that you never know who might get the next carry.

i hope they make the highlite tapes too. i'll by one.

Nice write-up, Fred! I'll have Amy's photos posted a little bit later. I'm sorry that I missed that video clip, but I heard that the food was as good as ever. :D

Good to see Bob Standriff made it, and Danny Farbrother?! Did he play, and if so, what and when??
Dan Farbrother (red sport coat) is an old Rocket, 52-55. If my old memory serves me correctly, Sonny Smith (sitting left) scored a touchdown against BUGS circa 1953 to tie the game that year, and Farbrother kicked the winning extra point.

The gentleman (setting right) is Julius "Tarp" Taormina who was a pretty fair football player in his time. Frank Lauterbur was supposed to be with this group but, unfortunately, he couldn't attend the banquet.
