QB Darryl Clark, Youngstown, OH) is visiting campus this Friday. Clark is a 6-3, 195 pounder with 4.65 speed.

He has received offers from Iowa, Nebraska, Penn State, West Virginia, and Toledo. He already visited Penn State of December 5th, and this will be his 2nd visit. He has not currently scheduled any additional visits yet.

He would be a nice addition.....let's hope he is impressed.
We could impress him by telling him that Toledo beat Penn State......at Penn State............but of course........that isn't that impressive anymore! :crying:
I'm not getting my hopes up on this one. Along with Gradkowski and Stevens, there will be 3 Freshman QB's on the roster next season (Council, Faulds, Cochran).
I guess his favorite right now is Penn State. He told a newspaper that he was very impressed when he went on his visit there.
Another recruiting note:

Ronald Talley, a big-time DE out of Detroit, that we had recently offered, verbaled to Notre Dame yesterday. Not a big surprise, but he would have been a difference maker on the D-Line.
Hmm....do I go play at the traditional football powerhouse of Notre Dame.....or do I go play for a team that consistently wins 8+ games per season? Hmmmmm.....

I'm sure he was thinking of all the TV exposure, plus the fact that ND could win 6 or 7 games and go bowling and Toledo would not. It's sad, but a fact.
